We bring you last week's top former Trojans players who are currently playing in pro basketball.
#1. Shane Edwards (6'7''-F-87, graduated '09, plays pro in Japan) led Kawasaki Brave Thunders to a 3-point victory against the fifth-ranked Fukuoka Rizing (10-34) 108-105 in the Japanese B League on Saturday night.
He recorded 22 points, 4 rebounds and 8 assists in 29 minutes.
Kawasaki Brave Thunders (28-16) are placed second in Central group.
It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row.
It's Edwards' first season with the team.
Edwards has relatively good stats this year 12.1ppg, 4.6rpg and 1.9apg.
#2. James White (6'8''-F-93, played in 2011-15, plays in Bulgaria) contributed to Beroe's victory against the fifth-ranked Kozuv (3-8) 94-85 in the Balkan League in Thursday night's game.
White scored 10 points, had 5 rebounds and made 2 blocks.
BC Beroe (9-2) is placed first in the Balkan League.
His team will play only one more game in the Balkan League Regular Season. And that game will be critical.
White has relatively good stats this year 12.4ppg, 5.6rpg, 1.4apg and 1.1bpg in eight games he played so far.
#3. Jalen Jackson (6'6''-G/F-94, graduated '17, currently in Finland), who plays in the Finnish Korisliiga could not help KTP Basket Kotka (17-13) in their game last Wednesday. Despite Jackson's very good performance KTP Basket Kotka was edged 95-93 on the road by the lower-ranked Kouvot (#4).
He was the second best scorer with 18 points. Jackson also added 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals in 31 minutes.
Jackson has relatively good stats this season 13.3ppg, 6.1rpg, 4.6apg and 2.0spg.
#4. Lis Shoshi (6'11''-C-94, graduated '17, plays pro in Israel) was not able to help Maccabi Ashdod/Be'er Tuvia (16-6) in their last game. Despite Shoshi's good performance the league leader Maccabi Ashdod/Be'er Tuvia lost 84-99 in Beer Sheva to the lower-ranked (#5) Beer Sheva.
He scored 10 points and grabbed 8 rebounds.
Shoshi's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial.
It's Shoshi's first season with the team.
He has relatively good stats this year 13.2ppg, 7.6rpg, 1.1apg and 1.3bpg in 18 games.
#5. Tramar Sutherland (6'3''-G-89, graduated '12, plays in Canada) was not able to secure a victory for the Kitchener-Waterloo Titans (16-17) in their game against the Halifax Hurricanes (21-14) in the NBLCanada.
Sutherland scored 5 points in 21 minutes.
The Kitchener-Waterloo Titans (#5) were crushed 136-108 in Halifax by the Hurricanes.
Sutherland has relatively good stats this season 10.5ppg, 4.0rpg, 1.3apg and 1.2spg.
