Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top former Mustangs players who continue their career in pro basketball.



   #1. Yanick Moreira (6'11''-C-91, graduated '15, plays pro in Italy). He could not help Virtus Bologna (10-4) to beat Le Mans (7-7) in the Basketball Champions League. Moreira recorded 6 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 22 minutes. The first-placed Virtus Bologna (10-4) was edged 74-74 on the road by the much lower-ranked Le Mans (#12) in the group D of Basketball Champions League. This season Moreira averages 7.6ppg and 5.4rpg.

   #2. Nicolas Moore (5'9''-PG-92, graduated '16, plays in Italy) led Virtus Roma to a victory over the 14th-ranked Bertram TRT (9-15) 79-66 in the Italian Serie A2 (second division) in Sunday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Moore scored 18 points; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his third season in pro basketball. Acea Virtus Roma (17-7) is placed first in West group. Moore has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 17.1ppg, 2.7rpg, 4.0apg and 1.2spg in 24 games he played so far.

   #3. Experienced Mouhammad Faye (6'10''-F-85, graduated '10, currently in Serbia) managed to help Crvena Zvezda MTS Beograd to win against the ninth-ranked KK Zadar (7-14) 87-69 in the ABA League last Saturday. He scored only 3 points, had 5 rebounds and made 2 blocks in 16 minutes. Crvena Zvezda MTS Beograd (20-1) is placed first in the ABA League. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. They will play only one more game in the ABA League Regular Season. And that game will be critical. It's Faye's first season with the team. This year Faye averages 6.8ppg, 4.9rpg, 1.1apg and 1.1bpg.

   #4. Ike Ofoegbu (6'9''-PF-84, graduated '07, plays pro in Mexico) was the major contributor in Aaguacateros' victory against the second-ranked Soles (26-13) 82-80 in the Mexican LNBP (second division) on Thursday night. He recorded 20 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in group South. Aaguacateros Michoacan (23-16) is placed third. Ofoegbu has relatively good stats this year 13.3ppg, 4.0rpg and 1.5apg in four games. He is a naturalized Nigerian.

   #5. Justin Martin (6'6''-F-90, graduated '15, plays in Czech Republic) was not able to help SLUNETA Usti nad Labem in their game against BK Opava (13-14) in the Czech Republic NBL. He recorded 8 points in 18 minutes. The fourth-placed SLUNETA Usti nad Labem (16-11) was crushed 87-60 in Opava by the lower-ranked BK Opava (#6) in the Places 1-8 group. This season Martin averages 9.3ppg and 4.6rpg.

   #6. Semi Ojeleye (6'7''-F-94, graduated '17, currently in the NBA) was not able to secure a victory for the Boston Celtics in their game against the Los Angeles Clippers in the NBA. Ojeleye recorded only 4 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. His team were crushed by 25 points 140-115 in the NBA. This year Ojeleye averages 3.2ppg and 1.5rpg in 45 games. He is a naturalized Nigerian.

   #7. Robert Nyakundi (6'8''-F-89, graduated '12, plays pro in France) couldn't help Chorale de Roanne Basket in their game against SPO Rouen in the French ProB (second division). He cannot count it as his best performance. Nyakundi scored only 3 points in 14 minutes. His team was crushed by 26 points 104-78. Nyakundi has relatively good stats this season 10.3ppg and 3.3rpg. He is a naturalized Kenyan.

   #8. Jordan Tolbert (6'7''-F-92, graduated '16, plays in France) contributed to an Caen's surprising victory against the ninth-ranked ADA Blois 71-54 in the French ProB (second division) in Friday night's game. He scored 14 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Tolbert has relatively good stats this year 10.6ppg, 8.5rpg, 1.4apg and 1.5spg in 17 games.

   #9. Markus Kennedy (6'9''-C/F-91, graduated '16, currently in Turkey) was the main contributor in a 3-point Socar Petkimspor's victory against the closely-ranked Yeni Mamak 85-82 in the Turkish TBL (second division) last Saturday. Kennedy was MVP of the game. He recorded 21 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 21 minutes. This season Kennedy has very high stats. He averages 18.5ppg, 10.1rpg, 2.3apg, 1.1bpg and 1.4spg.
