We bring you last week's top former Crusaders players who are currently playing in pro basketball.
#1. LaVonte Dority (6'1''-G-91, graduated '14, plays pro in Holland) led Dutch Windmills Dordrecht to a victory over the league outsider BA Limburg (4-22) crushing them 96-57 in the Dutch Eredivisie on Sunday night.
He was MVP of the game. Dority recorded 30 points (!!!) and grabbed 4 rebounds in 30 minutes.
Dutch Windmills Dordrecht (14-10) is placed fifth in the Eredivisie.
It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row.
Dority has relatively good stats this season 14.5ppg, 1.9rpg and 2.2apg.
#2. Cory Johnson (6'8''-F/C-88, graduated '11, plays in Japan) could not help Ehime Orange Vikings (18-28) in their last game. Despite Johnson's very good performance the fourth-placed Ehime Orange Vikings (18-28) were badly defeated 112-95 on the road by the second-ranked Toyotsu FE in the West group.
He had a double-double by scoring 29 points and getting 15 rebounds.
It was Ehime Orange Vikings' fifth consecutive loss in a row.
It's Johnson's first season with the team.
Johnson has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 20.6ppg, 10.5rpg and 2.2apg in 20 games he played so far.
#3. Shane Hammink (6'7''-G-94, graduated '17, currently in Holland) contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Den Helder (8-18) crushing them 96-67 in the Dutch Eredivisie last Saturday.
He recorded 12 points and added 3 passes in 20 minutes.
Donar Groningen (16-7) is placed fourth in the Eredivisie.
This season Hammink averages 8.1ppg, 2.5rpg and 1.5apg.
#4. Experienced Miguel Ali Berdiel (6'6''-G-83, graduated '06, plays pro in Puerto Rico) was not able to help Brujos de Guayama (0-2) in their last game. Despite his good performance Brujos de Guayama was edged 95-93 in Fajardo by the second-ranked Cariduros.
Berdiel scored 14 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and dished 4 assists.
But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen.
Berdiel has very impressive stats this year 15.5ppg, 5.0rpg and 3.0apg in two games.
#5. Victor Nickerson (6'8''-G/F-92, graduated '16, plays in Georgia) contributed to TSU-Hyundai's victory against the league outsider Rustavi (1-11) 77-65 in the Georgian Superleague in Saturday night's game.
He scored 10 points in 24 minutes.
TSU-Hyundai Tbilisi (7-5) is placed fifth in the Superleague.
It was his team's first victory after three consecutive loses.
Nickerson has relatively good stats this season 11.3ppg, 2.7rpg, 1.3apg and 1.3spg.
#6. Dan Oppland (6'8''-F-84, graduated '06, currently in Germany) contributed to a MLP Academics Heidelberg's victory against the 14th-ranked Uni Baskets 107-101 in the German ProA (second division) last Saturday.
Oppland scored 15 points, had 4 rebounds and dished 3 assists.
Oppland has relatively good stats this year 10.2ppg, 4.7rpg and 1.5apg in 26 games.
#7. Jubril Adekoya (6'7''-F-94, graduated '17, plays pro in Spain) was not able to secure a victory for Carramimbre CBC Valladolid in their game against Palencia Baloncesto in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division).
Adekoya recorded 5 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 22 minutes.
His team was defeated 80-76.
This season Adekoya averages 4.2ppg and 3.9rpg.
#8. Ryan Broekhoff (6'6''-F-90, graduated '13, plays in the NBA) couldn't help the Dallas Mavericks in their game against the Memphis Grizzlies in the NBA. Broekhoff cannot count Saturday's game as one of the best ones.
He recorded only 2 points.
His team were crushed by 30 points 111-81 in the NBA.
This year Broekhoff averages 2.8ppg and 1.1rpg in 29 games.
He has also Dutch passport.
#9. Mohamed Kone (6'11''-C-81, graduated '06, currently in France) couldn't help Jean D'Arc Vichy Clermont Metropole in their game against Quimper UJAP in the French ProB (second division). Despite his very good performance on Saturday night Kone scored 14 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 29 minutes.
This season Kone averages 7.7ppg, 8.9rpg and 1.1spg.
He has also French citizenship.
#10. Shawn Huff (6'6''-SF-84, graduated '08, plays pro in Germany) couldn't help Fraport Skyliners Frankfurt in their game against ALBA Berlin in the German BBL. Huff cannot count Saturday's game as one of the best ones.
He recorded only 2 points.
His team lost 86-99.
This year Huff averages 7.7ppg, 3.4rpg and 1.2apg in 19 games.
