We bring you last week's top former Cougars players who are currently playing in pro basketball.

   #1. Experienced David Holston (5'6''-PG-86, graduated '09, plays pro in France) could not help JDA Dijon Bourgogne (17-4) in their game last Saturday. Despite his very good performance JDA Dijon Bourgogne was edged 90-88 on the road by the lower-ranked JL Bourg (#3). Holston recorded a double-double by scoring 27 points and making 10 passes in 35 minutes. It's Holston's first season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year 14.5ppg, 2.2rpg, 6.8apg and 1.4spg.

   #2. Jeleel Akindele (7'1''-C-83, graduated '05, plays in Mexico) led Fuerza Regia Monterrey to a victory against the fourth-ranked Laguneros (19-20) 88-77 in the Mexican LNBP (second division) in Sunday night's game. He scored 13 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and dished 6 assists. Fuerza Regia Monterrey (31-9) is placed first in North group. Akindele has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 17.6ppg, 8.9rpg and 2.8apg in 37 games he played so far.

   #3. Deionte Simmons (6'9''-C-96, graduated '18, currently in Denmark), who plays in the Danish BasketLigaen was not able to help Wolfpack/BMS (7-12) in their game last Friday. Despite Simmons' very good performance the first-placed Wolfpack/BMS (7-12) was badly defeated 88-69 in Aarhus by the second-ranked EBAA in the ProB group. He recorded a double-double by scoring 23 points and getting 10 rebounds. Simmons also added 3 assists and 5 steals in 34 minutes. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Simmons' first season with the team. This year he has very high stats. Simmons averages 21.1ppg and 7.2rpg.

   #4. Carl Montgomery (6'8''-F-89, graduated '13, plays pro in Latvia) managed to help BK Jurmala in a victory against the 11th-ranked Latvijas Universitate (8-17) 62-55 in the Latvian LatEstBL on Sunday night. Montgomery scored 5 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. BK Jurmala (9-4) is placed fourth in the LatEstBL. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. This year Montgomery averages 3.0ppg and 4.5rpg in four games.

   #5. Jawad Adekoya (6'6''-G, graduated '16, plays in United Kingdom) was not able to secure a victory for one of league's weakest teams Plymouth University Raiders (11-12) in their game against London CR (11-7) in the British BBL. Adekoya scored 9 points, grabbed 4 boards, dished 5 assists and stole 4 balls in 24 minutes. But Plymouth University Raiders was defeated 102-93 in London by the higher-ranked London CR (#4). It was Plymouth University Raiders' third consecutive loss in a row. This season Adekoya averages 3.0ppg and 4.5rpg. He is a naturalized British.

   #6. Clarke Rosenberg (6'4''-G-93, graduated '15, currently in Israel), who plays in the Israeli National League (second division) couldn't help Elitzur Kiryat Ata (10-10) in their last game. Despite Rosenberg's good performance Elitzur Kiryat Ata was edged 87-84 in Raanana by the leading Maccabi. He scored 13 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Rosenberg has relatively good stats this year 12.3ppg, 4.1rpg and 2.4apg in 20 games. He is a naturalized Israeli.

   #7. Trayvon Palmer (6'6''-G/F-94, played in 2014-17, plays pro in the NBA G League) couldn't help the Northern Arizona Suns in their game against the Oklahoma City Blue in the NBA G League. He recorded 7 points in 20 minutes. His team were crushed by 23 points 116-93 in the NBA G League. This season Palmer averages 6.8ppg, 3.9rpg and 1.5apg.

   #8. Glen Burns (6'3''-G-95, graduated '18, plays in Georgia) couldn't help Arena-Orbi (1-5) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Arena-Orbi lost 75-79 in a derby game to the league outsider (#6) Tbilisi. Burns was the second best scorer with 21 points. He also added 9 boards, passed 4 assists and added 7 steals. Burns has relatively good stats this year 13.3ppg, 8.5rpg, 4.3apg and 2.7spg in six games.
