EuroBasket Pro Blue Demons Weekly Update

We bring you last week's top former Blue Demons players who are currently playing in pro basketball.
#1. Experienced Sammy Mejia (6'7''-G-83, graduated '07, plays pro in Turkey) led Tofas to a victory against the tenth-ranked Darussafaka (7-11) 80-72 in the Turkish BSL in Sunday night's game.
He recorded 12 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists in 33 minutes.
Tofas Bursa (10-11) is placed third in the BSL.
Mejia has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 18.0ppg, 4.2rpg, 3.8apg and 2.1spg in 16 games he played so far.
#2. Brandon Young (6'4''-G-91, graduated '14, plays in Ukraine) could not help Cherkasy (6-15) in their last game on Friday. Despite his very good performance the bottom-ranked Cherkasy was defeated 96-91 on the road by the higher-ranked Zaporizhye (#3).
Young was the top scorer with 27 points. He also added made 5 passes and 3 steals.
There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical.
This season Young has very high stats. He averages 19.0ppg, 3.2rpg, 5.3apg and 1.7spg.
#3. Dar Tucker (6'4''-SG-88, graduated '09, currently in Argentina) was the major contributor in a San Lorenzo's victory against the closely-ranked Regatas Corrientes (12-8) 103-85 in the Argentinian La Liga on Friday night.
He scored 12 points and had 3 steals in 21 minutes.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. San Lorenzo de Almagra (14-1) is placed first in the La Liga.
It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row.
Tucker has relatively good stats this year 11.8ppg, 2.5rpg and 2.3apg in 12 games.
He is a naturalized Jordanian.
#4. Billy Garrett (6'6''-G-94, graduated '17, plays pro in the NBA G League) contributed to an easy victory against the Wisconsin Herd (10-31) crushing them 123-95 in the NBA G League in Saturday night's game.
He scored 23 points, had 4 rebounds and dished 4 assists; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Garrett's second season in pro basketball. The Westchester Knicks have 25-18 record this season.
This year Garrett has very high stats. He averages 15.3ppg, 3.2rpg and 3.5apg.
#5. Draelon Burns (6'5''-G-85, graduated '08, plays in Japan) contributed to a Nishinomiya Storks' victory against the fifth-ranked Yamagata (17-27) 80-66 in the Japanese B2 League last Saturday.
Burns scored 14 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished 6 assists in 37 minutes.
Nishinomiya Storks (23-21) are placed third in Central group.
It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row.
Burns has very impressive stats this year 16.0ppg, 7.4rpg, 7.0apg and 1.6spg in 42 games.
#6. Cleveland Melvin (6'8''-F-91, graduated '14, currently in Poland) was not able to help MKS Dabrowa Gornicza in their game against Asseco Arka in the Polish EBL.
Melvin scored 5 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and made 3 blocks.
His team was badly defeated by 20 points 82-62.
This season Melvin has very high stats. He averages 16.5ppg, 6.5rpg, 1.3bpg and 1.1spg.
#7. Myke Henry (6'6''-F-92, graduated '16, plays pro in Israel) was not able to secure a victory for Ironi Nahariya (5-14) in their last game. Despite his good performance Ironi Nahariya lost 75-85 in Beer Sheva to the higher-ranked (#5) Beer Sheva.
Henry scored 12 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 27 minutes.
Henry has very impressive stats this year 16.1ppg, 6.7rpg, 2.6apg and 1.7spg in 18 games.
#8. Matija Poscic (6'9''-C-85, graduated '09, plays in Austria) couldn't help the league outsider BSC Raiffeisen Furstenfeld Panthers in their game against UBSC Graz in the Austrian A Bundesliga. Despite his very good performance on Saturday night He was the second best scorer with 14 points. Poscic also added 5 rebounds (made all of his five free throws).
Poscic has relatively good stats this season 13.4ppg, 8.7rpg and 1.3apg.
Worth to mention Poscic played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.
#9. Clifford Clinkscales (6'0''-PG-84, graduated '08, currently in Canada) helped Halifax Hurricanes win their game against the Riptide 98-82 in the NBLCanada on Wednesday night.
He recorded 9 points and added 6 passes in 29 minutes.
This year Clinkscales averages 5.5ppg, 2.0rpg and 6.9apg in 31 games.
