EuroBasket Pro Wildcats Weekly Update

We bring you last week's top former Wildcats players who are currently playing in pro basketball.



   #1. Jalen Brunson (6'3''-G-96, graduated '18, plays pro in the NBA) was the major contributor in a Dallas Mavericks' victory against the Indiana Pacers (41-22) 110-101 in the NBA in Wednesday night's game. He recorded 24 points, 5 assists and 3 steals in 34 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Brunson's first season in pro basketball. The Dallas Mavericks have 27-34 record this season. It was his team's first victory after five consecutive loses. Brunson has relatively good stats this year 7.5ppg, 2.1rpg and 2.5apg in 53 games he played so far.

   #2. Experienced Kyle Lowry (6'0''-PG-86, graduated '06, plays in the NBA) led Toronto Raptors to a 2-point victory against the Portland Trail Blazers (38-24) 119-117 in the NBA last Friday. He recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points and making 10 passes. Lowry also added 7 rebounds and 2 blocks. The Toronto Raptors have a solid 46-17 record this season. It's Lowry's seventh year with the team. He has individually a very good year with high stats. Lowry averages 14.4ppg, 4.5rpg, 9.2apg and 1.4spg.

   #3. Daniel Ochefu (6'11''-F-93, graduated '16, currently in the NBA G League) led Stockton Kings to a victory over the Texas Legends (14-28) 116-109 in the NBA G League on Tuesday night. He was MVP of the game. Ochefu had a double-double by scoring 32 points and getting 10 rebounds. He also added 4 assists in 30 minutes; not bad, considering it's only Ochefu's third season in pro basketball. The Stockton Kings have a solid 26-15 record this season. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. Ochefu has relatively good stats this year 13.7ppg, 8.9rpg and 2.3apg in 31 games.

   #4. Darrun Hilliard (6'6''-G-93, graduated '15, plays pro in Spain) managed to help Kirolbet Baskonia Vitoria to win against the 13th-ranked Zalgiris (9-15) 80-73 in the Euroleague in Thursday night's game. He scored 5 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Kirolbet Baskonia Vitoria (12-12) is placed eighth in the Euroleague. It's Hilliard's first season with the team. This year Hilliard averages 9.2ppg and 2.7rpg.

   #5. Ryan Arcidiacono (6'3''-G-94, graduated '16, plays in the NBA) contributed to a 2-point Chicago Bulls' victory against the Memphis Grizzlies (24-39) 109-107 in the NBA last Wednesday. Arcidiacono recorded 12 points in a mere 17 minutes. The Chicago Bulls have not so impressive 18-45 record this season. This year Arcidiacono averages 5.9ppg, 2.4rpg and 3.5apg in 62 games. He is a naturalized Italian.

   #6. Mikal Bridges (6'6''-G/F-96, graduated '18, currently in the NBA) contributed to a 3-point Phoenix Suns' victory against the Miami Heat 124-121 in the NBA on Monday night. He scored 7 points and added 8 assists. Bridges has relatively good stats this season 8.2ppg, 3.1rpg, 2.0apg and 1.6spg.

   #7. Omari Spellman (6'10''-F-97, graduated '18, plays pro in the NBA). He could not help the Atlanta Hawks to beat the Chicago Bulls. Spellman scored 9 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 19 minutes. His team lost 161-168 in the NBA. This year Spellman averages 5.9ppg and 4.2rpg in 46 games.

   #8. Scottie Reynolds (6'1''-G-87, graduated '10, plays in Israel) contributed to a Hapoel Unet Holon's victory against the fifth-ranked Rishon 85-81 in the Israeli Winner League last Wednesday. He recorded only 2 points and added 5 assists. This season Reynolds averages 6.6ppg, 2.0rpg and 4.6apg.

   #9. James Bell (6'6''-SF-92, graduated '14, currently in Montenegro) was not able to help Buducnost in their game against Bayern Muenchen in the Euroleague. Bell scored 6 points in 18 minutes. His team lost 75-89. This year Bell averages 4.3ppg and 2.1rpg in 10 games.

   #10. Maalik Wayns (6'1''-PG-91, graduated '12, plays pro in France) helped Levallois win their game against the fifth-ranked Chalons-Reims 83-78 in the French Jeep ELITE ProA in Friday night's game. Wayns scored 7 points and added 4 assists. This season Wayns averages 4.5ppg, 1.5rpg and 2.0apg. He is a naturalized Belarusian.
