Here is the weekly review of the top performing Pirates alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.

#1. Isaiah Whitehead (6'3''-G-95, graduated '16, plays pro in the NBA G League) was the major contributor in a Grand Rapids Drive's victory against the Santa Cruz Warriors (29-11) 109-99 in the NBA G League in Wednesday night's game. He scored 24 points, had 6 rebounds and dished 5 assists in 33 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Whitehead's third season in pro basketball. It was the game of the round between two top 2 ranked teams in group E Central. The Grand Rapids Drive has 21-20 record this season. Whitehead has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 17.2ppg, 4.2rpg, 4.6apg and 1.2spg in 16 games he played so far.

#2. Keon Lawrence (6'2''-G-87, graduated '11, plays in Norway) led Tromso to a 2-point victory over the closely-ranked Centrum (8-18) 84-82 in the Norwegian BLNO last Sunday. He was MVP of the game. Lawrence recorded a double-double by scoring 27 points and getting 10 rebounds. He also added 5 assists. Tromso Storm (12-14) is placed sixth in the BLNO. Lawrence's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. This season Lawrence has very high stats. He averages 19.3ppg, 7.6rpg, 6.0apg and 1.2spg. Worth to mention Lawrence played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

#3. Tom Maayan (6'1''-G-93, graduated '14, currently in Israel), who plays in the Israeli Winner League could not help Maccabi Ashdod/Be'er Tuvia (15-6) to beat Galil Gilboa (8-11). He recorded 5 points in 11 minutes. Maccabi Ashdod/Be'er Tuvia was edged 80-79 on the road by the lower-ranked (#8) Galil Gilboa. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. This year Maayan averages 4.5ppg, 2.9rpg, 5.1apg and 1.7spg in 19 games.

#4. Ismael Sanogo (6'8''-G-96, graduated '18, plays pro in the NBA G League) managed to help Long Island Nets to win against the Memphis Hustle (23-18) 137-132 in the NBA G League in Sunday night's game. He scored only 4 points. The Long Island Nets have a solid 26-14 record this season. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. This season Sanogo averages 2.7ppg and 1.9rpg. He is a naturalized Ivorian.

#5. Brian Oliver (6'7''-F-90, graduated '14, plays in Germany) was not able to help Artland Dragons in their game against MLP Academics Heidelberg (16-9) in the German ProA (second division). He did not have that impressive stats last Friday. Oliver recorded only 3 points and added 3 assists in 9 minutes on the court. Artland Dragons lost 71-83 in Heidelberg to the much higher-ranked (#4) MLP Academics. This year Oliver averages 5.9ppg and 1.6rpg in eight games.

#6. Desi Rodriguez (6'6''-F-96, graduated '18, currently in the NBA G League) led Agua Caliente Clippers of Ontario to an easy victory against the Wisconsin Herd crushing them 121-93 in the NBA G League on Friday night. Rodriguez recorded 16 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals. Rodriguez has relatively good stats this season 11.1ppg, 4.9rpg and 2.4apg.

#7. Gene Teague (6'9''-C-89, graduated '14, plays pro in Turkey) led Karesi Spor to a 1-point victory against the seventh-ranked Socar Petkim 86-85 in the Turkish TBL (second division) in Saturday night's game.
