EuroBasket Pro Buffaloes Weekly Update

Here is the weekly review of the top performing Buffaloes alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.



   #1. Derrick White (6'5''-G-94, graduated '17, plays pro in the NBA) led San Antonio Spurs to a victory against the Detroit Pistons (29-31) 105-93 in the NBA in Wednesday night's game. He recorded 15 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and made 2 blocks in 29 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only White's second season in pro basketball. The San Antonio Spurs have 34-29 record this season. It was his team's first victory after three consecutive loses. White has relatively good stats this year 9.6ppg, 3.5rpg and 3.6apg in 48 games he played so far.

   #2. Alec Burks (6'6''-G-91, graduated '11, plays in the NBA) managed to help Sacramento Kings to win against the Oklahoma City Thunder (38-22) 119-116 in the NBA last Saturday. He scored only 4 points. The Sacramento Kings have 31-30 record this season. This year Burks averages 2.3ppg and 2.0rpg.

   #3. Xavier Johnson (6'7''-F/G-93, graduated '17, currently in the NBA G League), who plays in the NBA G League could not help the Texas Legends (14-27) to beat the Stockton Kings (25-15). He scored 6 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 21 minutes. The Texas Legends (#4) lost 109-116 on the road to the Kings. It was Texas Legends' third consecutive loss in a row. This year Johnson averages 6.6ppg and 5.9rpg in 36 games.

   #4. Marcus Relphorde (6'6''-F/G-88, graduated '11, plays pro in Israel) was not able to help Maccabi Rehovot (8-13) in their last game on Tuesday. Despite his very good performance Maccabi Rehovot was defeated 101-93 in Hod Hasharon by the higher-ranked Hasharon (#10). Relphorde scored 21 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and dished 8 assists. Relphorde has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 20.8ppg, 6.0rpg, 2.8apg and 1.1spg.

   #5. Lazar Nikolic (6'8''-SG-99, graduated '19, plays in Italy) contributed to a Roseto Sharks' victory against the fifth-ranked GSA Udine (14-9) 83-70 in the Italian Serie A2 (second division) last Sunday. He scored 6 points and added 5 assists in 28 minutes. Roseto Sharks (11-12) is placed eighth in East group. This year Nikolic averages 4.1ppg, 3.4rpg and 1.8apg in 22 games.

   #6. Experienced Marcus Hall (6'1''-G-85, graduated '08, currently in Turkey), who plays in the Turkish TBL (second division) was not able to secure a victory for one of league's weakest teams Selcuklu (12-8) in their last game on Friday. Despite his very good performance Selcuklu was edged 85-83 in Duzce by the higher-ranked Belediye (#4). Hall recorded a double-double by scoring 24 points and making 10 passes. He also added 8 rebounds and 3 steals. This season Hall has very high stats. He averages 21.2ppg, 5.4rpg, 6.2apg and 1.9spg.
