EuroBasket Pro Owls Weekly Update

Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top former Owls players who continue their career in pro basketball.



   #1. Experienced Michael Bell (6'9''-F-82, graduated '05, plays pro in China) could not help Zhuhai (2-19) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the bottom-ranked Zhuhai were crushed 99-65 on the road by the higher-ranked (#6) Macau. Bell had a double-double by scoring 22 points and getting 13 rebounds. He also added 3 assists and 4 blocks in 40 minutes. It was Zhuhai's fifth consecutive loss in a row. Bell has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 16.0ppg, 12.4rpg, 3.1apg, 1.7bpg and 1.6spg in 17 games he played so far.

   #2. Ronald Delph (7'0''-C-93, graduated '18, plays in Latvia) was not able to help Rapla (10-11) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite his good performance Rapla was defeated 85-76 in Tartu by the higher-ranked Ulikool (#6). Delph scored 13 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. This season Delph averages 7.9ppg and 5.4rpg.

   #3. Adonis Filer (6'5''-G-93, graduated '17, currently in Cyprus) was not able to secure a victory for one of league's weakest teams Enosis Neon Paralimni in their game against Etha (8-10) in the Cypriot Division A, despite his good performance last Tuesday. Filer scored 12 points, had 5 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 28 minutes. But Enosis Neon Paralimni was edged in an overtime 91-89 in Nicosia by the higher-ranked (#5) Etha. Filer has very impressive stats this year 15.4ppg, 3.7rpg, 5.6apg and 1.4spg in seven games.

   #4. Pablo Bertone (6'4''-SG-90, graduated '14, plays pro in Italy) was the major contributor in a Bertram TRT's victory against the 16th-ranked Virtus Cassino (2-21) 99-82 in the Italian Serie A2 (second division) in Sunday night's game. Bertone scored 19 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and dished 4 assists. Bertram Tortona (9-14) is placed 14th in West group. This season Bertone has very high stats. He averages 17.0ppg, 3.6rpg, 4.4apg and 1.3spg. Bertone has also Italian passport.

   #5. Greg Gantt (6'2''-G-91, graduated '13, plays in Spain) managed to help Carramimbre CBC Valladolid in a victory against the second-ranked RETAbet BB (15-8) 79-64 in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) last Friday. He scored only 4 points in 18 minutes. Carramimbre CBC Valladolid (13-10) is placed ninth in the LEB Gold. Gantt has relatively good stats this year 10.7ppg and 1.5rpg in 22 games.

   #6. Javier Lacunza (6'9''-F/C-94, graduated '16, currently in Spain) couldn't help Valle de Egues in their game against Gallofa in the Spanish EBA (fourth division). Despite his very good performance in Saturday night's game Lacunza was the top scorer with 19 points. He also added 7 rebounds. This season Lacunza has very high stats. He averages 19.7ppg, 6.1rpg, 1.1apg and 1.2spg.

   #7. Justin Raffington (6'9''-C-91, graduated '15, plays pro in Germany) contributed to an easy victory against the league outsider Baunach crushing them 86-61 in the German ProA (second division) in Saturday night's game. Raffington scored only 2 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 18 minutes. This year Raffington averages 9.5ppg and 5.3rpg in 22 games.
