Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top former Mavericks players who continue their career in pro basketball.
#1. Reger Dowell (6'1''-PG-91, graduated '14, plays pro in Georgia) was the major contributor in a Dinamo Tbilisi's victory against the seventh-ranked BC Titebi (4-6) crushing them 86-62 in a derby game in the Georgian Superleague on Wednesday night.
He recorded 16 points and added 3 passes in 27 minutes.
Dinamo Tbilisi (8-2) is placed second in the Superleague.
It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row.
Dowell has relatively good stats this season 14.4ppg, 4.2rpg and 2.7apg.
#2. Johnny Hamilton (7'0''-C-94, graduated '18, plays in the NBA G League) could not help the Grand Rapids Drive (18-19) in their last game. Despite Hamilton's good performance the Grand Rapids Drive (#3) was edged 118-117 on the road by the Greensboro Swarm.
He scored 10 points, grabbed 9 rebounds and made 5 blocks.
Hamilton has relatively good stats this year 12.5ppg, 9.3rpg, 1.2apg and 2.7bpg in 37 games he played so far.
#3. Brandon Edwards (6'6''-F-91, graduated '14, currently in Israel) led Elitzur Yavne to an easy victory against the 12th-ranked H.Haifa (8-12) 100-83 in the Israeli National League (second division) last Tuesday.
He recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points and getting 10 rebounds. Edwards also added 3 assists and 2 blocks in 30 minutes.
Elitzur Yavne (9-11) is placed eighth in the National League.
Edwards has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 17.0ppg, 10.5rpg, 1.2bpg and 1.2spg.
#4. Erick Neal (5'10''-PG-95, graduated '18, plays pro in Turkey) was not able to help Yeni Mamak (9-10) in their last game. Despite Neal's very good performance Yeni Mamak was crushed 111-89 in Istanbul by the higher-ranked (#8) Sigortam.net ITU.
He was the top scorer with 28 points. Neal also added 4 assists; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his first season in pro basketball. It's Neal's first year with the team.
Neal has very impressive stats this season 17.0ppg, 3.6rpg, 7.9apg and 1.4spg in 18 games.
He is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.
