EuroBasket Pro Wolverines Weekly Update

Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top former Wolverines players who continue their career in pro basketball.



   #1. Experienced Jamal Crawford (6'5''-G-80, graduated '00, plays pro in the NBA) could not help the Phoenix Suns (11-48) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the Phoenix Suns (11-48) were crushed 134-107 at home by the Los Angeles Clippers. Crawford scored 17 points and added 6 assists in a mere 16 minutes. It was Suns' 15th consecutive loss in a row. This year Crawford averages 6.4ppg, 1.2rpg and 3.4apg in 49 games he played so far.

   #2. Tim Hardaway Jr. (6'6''-G-92, graduated '13, plays in the NBA) was not able to help the Dallas Mavericks (26-31) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite his very good performance the Dallas Mavericks (26-31) were defeated 112-101 on the road by the Miami Heat. Hardaway Jr. was the top scorer with 20 points. Hardaway Jr. has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 15.6ppg, 3.2rpg and 1.8apg.

   #3. Caris LeVert (6'7''-G-94, graduated '16, currently in the NBA) led Brooklyn Nets to a victory against the Cleveland Cavaliers (12-46) 148-139 in the NBA on Wednesday night. LeVert scored 12 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and dished 9 assists in 31 minutes. The Brooklyn Nets have 30-29 record this season. LeVert has very impressive stats this year 16.8ppg, 4.1rpg, 4.1apg and 1.4spg in 17 games.

   #4. Darius Morris (6'4''-G-91, graduated '11, plays pro in the NBA G League) was the major contributor in a 3-point Santa Cruz Warriors' victory against the Raptors 905 Missisauga (22-14) 114-111 in the NBA G League in Wednesday night's game. He scored 20 points, had 4 rebounds and dished 6 assists. It was the game of the round between two top 2 ranked teams in group W Pacific. The Santa Cruz Warriors have a solid 27-10 record this season. Morris has relatively good stats this year 14.5ppg, 3.0rpg and 6.0apg.

   #5. Zack Irvin (6'6''-G/F-94, graduated '17, plays in the NBA G League) was not able to secure a victory for the Westchester Knicks (21-17) in their last game. Despite his good performance the Westchester Knicks (#3) were edged 118-115 in Washington by the Capital City Go-Go. Irvin had a double-double by scoring 11 points and getting 10 rebounds. He also added 7 assists in 39 minutes. It was Knicks' first loss after three consecutive victories. It's Irvin's first season with the team. Irvin has relatively good stats this year 11.0ppg, 9.0rpg and 2.8apg in 23 games.

   #6. DeShawn Sims (6'8''-F-88, graduated '10, currently in Italy) couldn't help Eurotrend BI in their game against Bergamo Bsk in the Italian Serie A2 (second division). He was the second best scorer with 6 points. Sims also added 6 rebounds. His team was crushed by 30 points 78-48. This season he has very high stats. Sims averages 21.5ppg, 6.5rpg and 1.5apg.

   #7. Nik Stauskas (6'6''-SG-93, graduated '14, plays pro in the NBA) faced previously mentioned Caris LeVert in the NBA last game. Stauskas couldn't help the Cleveland Cavaliers in their game against the Brooklyn Nets. He scored 7 points in 23 minutes. His team lost 139-148 in the NBA. This year Stauskas averages 5.0ppg and 2.5rpg in two games. He has also Lithuanian passport.

   #8. Stuart Douglass (6'3''-SG-90, graduated '12, plays in Israel) managed to help Hapoel SP Tel-Aviv to win against the fifth-ranked Rishon 78-64 in the Israeli Winner League last Sunday. Douglass scored 5 points. This season he averages 4.7ppg, 1.8rpg and 1.4apg. Douglass is a naturalized Israeli.
