Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top former Cougars players who continue their career in pro basketball.



   #1. Experienced Taylor Rochestie (6'1''-PG-85, graduated '09, plays pro in China) could not help Tianjin Gold Lions (9-31) in their game last Wednesday. Despite his very good performance Tianjin Gold Lions were crushed 135-112 on the road by the much higher-ranked Sturgeons (#7). Rochestie was the top scorer with 52 points. He also added 5 rebounds and 9 assists in 39 minutes. Rochestie has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 33.3ppg, 4.7rpg and 9.4apg. Rochestie is a naturalized Montenegrin.

   #2. Klay Thompson (6'7''-G-90, graduated '11, plays in the NBA) led Golden State Warriors to a victory against the Utah Jazz (32-25) 115-108 in the NBA in Tuesday night's game. Thompson recorded 22 points, 4 rebounds and 2 blocks. The Golden State Warriors have a solid 41-16 record this season. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. It's Thompson's eighth year with the team. He has very impressive stats this season 21.9ppg, 4.0rpg, 2.2apg and 1.1spg in 56 games he played so far. Thompson is a naturalized Bahamian.

   #3. Josh Hawkinson (6'10''-F-95, graduated '17, currently in Japan) contributed to an easy victory against the sixth-ranked Kagawa FA (10-30) 82-67 in the Japanese B2 League last Saturday. Hawkinson recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and getting 10 rebounds. He also added 6 assists and 2 blocks in 30 minutes. Toyotsu Fighting Eagles Nagoya (25-16) is placed second in Central group. This season Hawkinson has very high stats. He averages 21.9ppg, 10.6rpg and 3.1apg.

   #4. Thomas Abercrombie (6'6''-F-87, graduated '08, plays pro in Australia) was not able to help New Zealand Breakers in their game against Bullets (14-14) in the Australian NBL. He scored 6 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. New Zealand Breakers lost 78-84 in Brisbane to the higher-ranked (#4) Bullets. The Regular Season already ended. This year Abercrombie averages 8.5ppg, 5.2rpg and 1.1apg in 28 games.

   #5. Davonte Lacy (6'4''-G-93, graduated '15, plays in Germany) was not able to secure a victory for PS Karlsruhe Lions (12-11) in their game last Saturday. Despite his good performance PS Karlsruhe Lions was badly defeated 100-82 on the opponent's court by the lower-ranked Chemnitz (#11). Lacy scored 12 points in 26 minutes. It's Lacy's first season with the team. This year he has very high stats. Lacy averages 15.7ppg, 3.6rpg, 4.6apg and 1.2spg.

   #6. Marcus Capers (6'4''-G-89, graduated '12, currently in Canada) contributed to a London Lightning's victory against the Kitchener-Waterloo Titans 115-104 in the NBL Canada last Sunday. Capers scored 13 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. He has very impressive stats this year 15.7ppg, 3.6rpg, 4.6apg and 1.2spg in 19 games.

   #7. DeAngelo Hamilton (6'8''-F/C-90, graduated '11, plays pro in Vietnam) helped his Vietnamese team Saigon Heat edge the closely-ranked Formosa Dreamers 74-72 in the ASEAN League on Saturday night. Hamilton recorded 16 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 40 minutes. He has relatively good stats this season 14.0ppg, 7.8rpg, 1.8apg and 1.2bpg.
