EuroBasket Pro Wildcats Weekly Update

We bring you last week's top former Wildcats players who are currently playing in pro basketball.

   #1. Derrick Williams (6'8''-F-91, graduated '11, plays pro in Germany) could not help FC Bayern Muenchen (19-1) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the league leader FC Bayern Muenchen was edged 83-82 on the road by the second-ranked EWE Baskets. Williams was the second best scorer with 17 points. He also added 7 rebounds in 27 minutes. It was FC Bayern Muenchen's first loss after twenty consecutive victories. Williams has relatively good stats this year 12.7ppg, 3.7rpg and 1.3apg in 16 games he played so far.

   #2. Kyle Fogg (6'3''-PG-90, graduated '12, plays in China) led Guangzhou Long-Lions to a victory over the 14th-ranked Brave Dragons (14-26) 136-126 in the Chinese CBA last Thursday. Fogg was MVP of the game. He recorded a triple-double by scoring 46 points, grabbing 12 rebounds and passing 13 assists. Guangzhou Long-Lions (21-19) are placed ninth in the CBA. Fogg has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 34.5ppg, 8.4rpg, 7.9apg and 2.0spg.

   #3. Lauri Markkanen (7'1''-PF-97, graduated '17, currently in the NBA) contributed to a Chicago Bulls' victory against the Memphis Grizzlies (23-36) 122-110 in the NBA on Wednesday night. He had a double-double by scoring 21 points and getting 10 rebounds. Markkanen also added 6 assists (was perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line) in 35 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his second season in pro basketball. The Chicago Bulls have not so impressive 14-44 record this season. Markkanen has very impressive stats this year 18.5ppg, 8.8rpg and 1.3apg in 35 games.

   #4. DeAndre Ayton (7'1''-C-98, graduated '18, plays pro in the NBA) was not able to help the Phoenix Suns (11-48) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite his very good performance the Phoenix Suns (11-48) were crushed 134-107 at home by the Los Angeles Clippers. Ayton was the second best scorer with 20 points. He also added 8 rebounds. This season Ayton has very high stats. He averages 16.5ppg, 10.5rpg and 2.0apg.

   #5. Aaron Gordon (6'9''-PF-95, graduated '14, plays in the NBA) helped Orlando Magic win their game against the New Orleans Pelicans (26-33) crushing them 118-88 in the NBA last Tuesday. Gordon recorded 20 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists in 33 minutes. The Orlando Magic has 27-32 record this season. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. It's Gordon's fifth year with the team. He has very impressive stats this season 15.8ppg, 7.3rpg and 3.5apg in 55 games.

   #6. Mark Tollefsen (6'9''-PF-92, graduated '16, currently in Israel) was the main contributor in a Maccabi Ashdod/Be'er Tuvia's victory against the seventh-ranked Ironi Nes-Ziona 80-75 in the Israeli Winner League on Tuesday night. Tollefsen was MVP of the game. He recorded a double-double by scoring 30 points and getting 10 rebounds. This season Tollefsen has very high stats. He averages 20.5ppg and 6.2rpg.

   #7. Allonzo Trier (6'5''-F-96, graduated '18, plays pro in the NBA) was not able to secure a victory for the New York Knicks (11-47) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the New York Knicks lost 111-126 in Philadelphia to the 76ers. Trier was the top scorer with 19 points. He also added 4 rebounds and dished 4 assists (was perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line) in 27 minutes. Trier has relatively good stats this year 9.9ppg, 3.0rpg and 1.9apg in 51 games.

   #8. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson (6'7''-F-95, graduated '15, plays in the NBA) helped Brooklyn Nets win their game against the Cleveland Cavaliers 148-139 in the NBA last Wednesday. He scored 17 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Hollis-Jefferson has relatively good stats this season 9.3ppg, 5.4rpg and 1.7apg.

   #9. Kadeem Allen (6'3''-G-93, graduated '17, currently in the NBA) is a teammate of previously mentioned Allonzo Trier. But that was another game of his team in NBA which we would like to mention. Allen helped New York Knicks win their game against the Atlanta Hawks 106-91. He scored 14 points and added 9 passes in 24 minutes. Allen has relatively good stats this year 10.1ppg, 2.9rpg and 4.5apg in 10 games.

   #10. Experienced Andre Iguodala (6'6''-SF-84, graduated '04, plays pro in the NBA) helped Golden State Warriors win their game against the Utah Jazz 115-108 in the NBA in Tuesday night's game. He recorded 13 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals. This season Iguodala averages 6.0ppg, 3.9rpg and 3.3apg.
