EuroBasket Pro Seawolves Weekly Update

Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top former Seawolves players who continue their career in pro basketball.



   #1. Jameel Warney (6'8''-C-94, graduated '16, plays pro in the NBA G League) could not help the Westchester Knicks (21-17) in their game last Tuesday. Despite his very good performance the Westchester Knicks (#3) were edged 118-115 on the road by the Capital City Go-Go. Warney was the second best scorer with 25 points. He also added 7 boards, handed out 4 passes and blocked 2 shots in 34 minutes. Warney has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 18.5ppg, 5.8rpg, 2.3apg and 1.2spg.

   #2. Dallis Joyner (6'8''-F/C-90, graduated '12, plays in Israel) was not able to help Hapoel Kfar Saba/Shalom (4-15) in their last game. Despite Joyner's very good performance the bottom-ranked Hapoel Kfar Saba/Shalom was crushed 97-73 in Rehovot by the higher-ranked (#9) Maccabi. He was the second best scorer with 19 points. Joyner also added 8 rebounds. Joyner has relatively good stats this year 13.0ppg, 6.5rpg and 1.5apg in six games he played so far.

   #3. Junior Saintel (6'7''-G/F-95, graduated '18, currently in Spain) contributed to an easy victory against the 11th-ranked Baskonia (7-15) crushing them 91-65 in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division) last Saturday. Saintel recorded 8 points in 18 minutes. Bodegas Rioja Vega Logrono (12-10) is placed seventh in West group. The Regular Season already ended. Saintel has relatively good stats this season 10.5ppg and 4.2rpg. He is a naturalized Haitian.

   #4. Danny Carter (6'9''-F-89, graduated '12, plays pro in United Kingdom) managed to help Reading Rockets in a victory against the tenth-ranked Dragons (6-10) crushing them 100-60 in the British NBL D1 (second division) on Sunday night. He recorded 5 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Reading Rockets (10-5) is placed fifth in the NBL D1. It was his team's first victory after three consecutive loses. It's Carter's seventh season with the team. Carter has relatively good stats this year 11.0ppg, 6.3rpg and 3.7apg in 12 games.

   #5. Uchenna Iroegbu (6'0''-PG-96, graduated '18, plays in Spain) was not able to secure a victory for La Roda (6-16) in their game against Moron (10-13) in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division). Iroegbu did not have that impressive stats last Saturday. He recorded only one point in 13 minutes. The 12th-placed La Roda (6-16) was defeated 65-60 in MorĂ³n de la Frontera by the higher-ranked Moron (#9) in the East group. It was La Roda's fifth consecutive loss in a row. The Regular Season already ended. This season Iroegbu averages 3.8ppg and 1.5rpg. He is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.
