EuroBasket Pro Horned Frogs Weekly Update

Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top former Horned Frogs players who continue their career in pro basketball.



   #1. Kenrich Williams (6'7''-G-94, graduated '18, plays pro in the NBA) contributed to a New Orleans Pelicans' victory against the Oklahoma City Thunder (37-20) 131-122 in the NBA on Thursday night. He scored 9 points, had 12 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 34 minutes. The New Orleans Pelicans have 26-33 record this season. This year Williams averages 5.2ppg, 4.3rpg and 1.3apg.

   #2. Experienced Kevin Langford (6'8''-F/C-85, graduated '09, plays in Finland) led KTP Basket Kotka to a 2-point victory over the ninth-ranked Helsinki Seagulls (10-18) 86-84 in the Finnish Korisliiga in Tuesday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Langford scored 21 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished 4 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). KTP Basket Kotka (17-10) is placed fourth in the Korisliiga. It's Langford's first season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year 13.2ppg, 5.4rpg and 2.6apg in 27 games he played so far.

   #3. Chauncey Collins (6'0''-PG-95, graduated '16, currently in Russia), who plays in the Russian Superleague 1 (second division) could not help Spartak Primorie Vladivostok (12-12) in their game last Wednesday. Despite his very good performance Spartak Primorie Vladivostok was defeated 89-76 on the road by the leading Vostok-65. Collins was the top scorer with 23 points in 33 minutes. It was his first game for Spartak Primorie Vladivostok this season.

   #4. Kyan Anderson (5'11''-PG-92, graduated '15, plays pro in Germany) was not able to help medi Bayreuth in their game against Crailsheim Merlins (4-16) in the German BBL. His contribution was not very remarkable in Wednesday's game. Anderson scored only 2 points and added 6 assists. medi Bayreuth lost 90-97 in Crailsheim to the one of league's weakest teams (#17) Merlins. It was medi Bayreuth's sixth consecutive loss in a row. This year Anderson averages 2.0ppg, 1.5rpg and 3.0apg in two games.

   #5. Ahmed Hamdy (6'9''-F-93, graduated '18, plays in Georgia) was not able to secure a victory for Rustavi in their game last Friday. Despite his good performance Rustavi was crushed 87-65 on the opponent's court by the lower-ranked Batumi (#8). Hamdy recorded 10 points in 18 minutes. Hamdy has relatively good stats this season 13.6ppg and 9.0rpg. Hamdy is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.

   #6. Brandon Parrish (6'6''-G-94, graduated '17, currently in Germany) helped Schalke win their game against the closely-ranked Artland Dragons 77-73 in the German ProA (second division) last Saturday. He scored 10 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. This year Parrish averages 8.0ppg, 4.7rpg and 1.2apg in 21 games.

   #7. J.R. Cadot (6'5''-F/G-87, graduated '12, plays pro in Spain) managed to help Aceitunas Fragata Moron to win against the 12th-ranked La Roda 65-60 in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division) on Saturday night. Cadot recorded only 2 points in 10 minutes. This season Cadot averages 4.3ppg and 2.7rpg.

   #8. Bingo Merriex (6'9''-PF-80, graduated '03, plays in Japan) led Gifu Swoops to a victory against one of league's weakest teams Iwate Big Bulls 76-70 in the Japanese B League D3 in Saturday night's game. He had a double-double by scoring 13 points and getting 15 rebounds. Merriex also added 4 assists. Merriex has relatively good stats this year 10.3ppg, 10.8rpg, 4.5apg and 1.2spg in 39 games.
