EuroBasket Pro Bears Weekly Update

Here is the weekly review of the top performing Bears alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.



   #1. Curtis Jerrells (6'1''-G-87, graduated '09, plays pro in Italy) led his Italian team AX Armani Exchange Milano to a victory against the league outsider Darussafaka (3-19) 90-78 in the Euroleague in Friday night's game. He recorded 16 points in 21 minutes. AX Armani Exchange Milano (11-11) is placed ninth in the Euroleague. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. This year Jerrells averages 6.0ppg, 1.1rpg and 1.5apg in 22 games he played so far.

   #2. Isaiah Austin (7'1''-C-93, graduated '14, plays in China) could not help Nanjing Tongxi Monkey Kings (10-30) in their last game on Friday. Despite Austin's very good performance Nanjing Tongxi Monkey Kings were badly defeated 96-77 on the road by the lower-ranked Blue Whales (#18). He recorded a double-double by scoring 34 points and getting 10 rebounds. Austin also added 3 assists and 7 blocks. Austin has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 16.7ppg, 8.2rpg and 2.0bpg.

   #3. Taurean Prince (6'7''-F-94, graduated '16, currently in the NBA) contributed to an Atlanta Hawks' victory against the Los Angeles Lakers (28-29) 117-113 in the NBA on Tuesday night. He recorded 17 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 29 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Prince's third season in pro basketball. The Atlanta Hawks have rather weak 19-39 record this season. Prince has very impressive stats this year 13.4ppg, 3.7rpg and 1.9apg in 37 games.

   #4. Royce O'Neale (6'6''-SF-93, graduated '15, plays pro in the NBA) contributed to an easy victory against the San Antonio Spurs (33-26) crushing them 125-105 in the NBA in Saturday night's game. He recorded 17 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. The Utah Jazz has 32-25 record this season. This year O'Neale averages 4.5ppg, 2.6rpg and 1.2apg.

   #5. Kenny Chery (5'11''-PG-92, graduated '15, plays in France) was not able to help Boulazac Basket Dordogne (10-10) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Boulazac Basket Dordogne lost 73-78 in Villeurbanne to the higher-ranked (#9) ASVEL Lyon- Basket. Chery was the top scorer with 18 points. He also added 4 boards, dished 3 assists and stole 4 balls in 29 minutes. It's Chery's first season with the team. Chery has very impressive stats this year 16.3ppg, 3.8rpg, 4.0apg and 1.4spg in 20 games.

   #6. Experienced R.T. Guinn (6'10''-F/C-81, graduated '04, plays pro in Sweden) contributed to a 3-point KFUM Jamtland Basket's victory against the closely-ranked Boras Basket 106-103 in the Swedish Basketligan in Wednesday night's game. He scored 18 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and dished 3 assists in a mere 19 minutes. Guinn has relatively good stats this year 13.7ppg, 5.6rpg and 2.1apg in 30 games.

   #7. Brady Heslip (6'2''-SG-90, graduated '14, plays in Turkey) contributed to an Istanbul Buyuksehir Belediyesi's victory against the second-ranked Pinar Karsiyaka 93-86 in the Turkish BSL last Saturday. Heslip scored 18 points. This season he has very high stats. Heslip averages 19.0ppg, 3.5rpg and 1.5apg.

   #8. A.J Walton (6'1''-PG-90, graduated '13, currently in Czech Republic) was the major contributor in a BK Kolin's victory against the third-ranked NH Ostrava crushing them 106-86 in the Czech Republic NBL on Wednesday night. He scored 21 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and dished 6 assists in 28 minutes. Walton has very impressive stats this year 16.0ppg, 4.8rpg, 5.7apg and 2.7spg in 24 games.

   #9. Terry Maston (6'8''-F-95, graduated '18, plays pro in Canada) led Saint John Riptide to a victory over the Island Storm 99-93 in the NBL Canada in Thursday night's game. Maston was MVP of the game. He recorded a double-double by scoring 26 points and getting 10 rebounds. This season Maston has very high stats. He averages 16.0ppg, 4.8rpg, 5.7apg and 2.7spg.

   #10. Henry Dugat (6'0''-PG-87, graduated '09, plays in Hungary) was not able to secure a victory for DEAC (4-4) in their last game. Despite Dugat's very good performance DEAC lost 96-103 in Szombathely to the higher-ranked (#4) Falco-Vulcano. He was the second best scorer with 17 points. Dugat also added 4 assists in 36 minutes. He has relatively good stats this year 14.4ppg, 4.5rpg, 5.8apg and 1.7spg in 19 games.
