The Alabama State offense was productive from beyond the arc, pouring nine threes. Hines was the most prolific shooter for the Hornets, draining four treys in the contest.
Alabama State's defense held Jackson State to only 37 percent shooting from the field, including 29.4 percent from beyond the arc. The Hornets also limited Daeshun Ruffin (5'11''-PG) to 4-of-16 shooting and nine points in the game.
JSU’s Shannon Grant had an impressive performance finishing with 20 and nine rebounds.
