Wildcats Win Ninth Big Sky Title - Mar 16, 2014

For the ninth time the Weber State Wildcats are the Big Sky Conference Men's Basketball Championship.
The top-seeded Wildcats cruised to a 88-67 victory over second-seeded North Dakota at the Dee Events Center.
Senior center Kyle Tresnak (6'10''-C-92) scored a career-high 27 points making 11-of-15 shots from the floor, and senior Davion Berry (6'4''-G-91) scored 19 points with four assists. Berry was named the Tournament MVP.
Weber State (19-11) tied Montana for the most championships in Big Sky history. Weber State, which hadn't won a postseason title since 2007, played in its 16th championship game. North Dakota (17-16) was playing in its first Big Sky Championship game.
The Wildcats opened with an 18-6 lead and never looked back. The Wildcats shot 10-of-22 from 3-point range, and shot .556 percent from the floore.
Senior Troy Huff (6'5''-G) scored 17 points to lead North Dakota. Senior Jamal Webb (6'1''-G) sustained a knee injury late in a semifinal win on Friday. He tried to play, but managed just four minutes and no points. Senior Josh Schuler (6'3''-G) was injured in the final second of a quarterfinal win on Thursday, and did not play again in the tournament.
