#1. South Sudanese player Majur Majak, a towering 7'0'' center aged 27, graduated from New Haven in 2023. He recently received the prestigious All-Northeast Defensive Player of the Year award. Majak currently plays professionally in Lebanon and is making waves in the league. In a recent game, Majak played a crucial role in Antranik's victory over Maristes, one of the weaker teams in the Lebanese Decathlon Lebanese Basketball League. He displayed an impressive performance, scoring 24 points and securing 13 rebounds in just 32 minutes of play. This remarkable double-double performance showcased Majak's talent and contribution to his team, Antranik Beirut, which is currently ranked fourth in the league standings. This game marked Antranik's fifth consecutive win, demonstrating their strong form heading into the playoffs. Despite it being only his third season in professional basketball, Majak's impact on the court has been noteworthy. His remarkable statistics this season, averaging 12.7 points, 12.0 rebounds (leading the league), and 3.0 blocks per game (also leading the league) in the 21 games he has played so far, highlight his dominance as a player. Majak's exceptional performance against Maristes earned him the Triple-Double Badge from eurobasket.com, further solidifying his reputation as a champion player in the league. As he continues to excel in his first year with Antranik Beirut, all eyes are on Majur Majak as he cements his place as a finalist in the league.
