Augustana wins Division II title - Mar 26, 2016

Alex Richter (6'5''-G-92) scored 26 points and Daniel Jansen (6'9''-F-94) had 25 to lead Augustana of South Dakota to the NCAA Division II championship, 90-81 over top-ranked Lincoln Memorial of Tennessee on Saturday. Casey Schilling (6'6''-F-94) added 20 points and 19 rebounds. He scored eight points early in the second half to help second-seeded Augustana take an eight-point lead after Lincoln Memorial pulled to 45-43. The Vikings (34-2) outrebounded Lincoln Memorial 42-36 and made 21 of 27 free throws. LMU (34-3) was only 9 for 18 from the line, and 6-foot-9 Emanuel Terry (6'9''-F-95) and 6-5 Dorian Pinson (6'5''-F-96) fouled out.Gerel Simmons (6'2''-G) led Lincoln Memorial with 21 points. Terry and Jalen Steele (6'3''-G-92) had 15 each, and Pinson finished with 13. Augustana broke to a 13-4 lead, with Richter providing 10 of the points. Lincoln Memorial took the lead for the first time at 18-17 on Pinson's driving layup. A 3-pointer by Steele brought LMU's biggest lead at 30-25. Augustana rallied to outscore Lincoln Memorial 10-4 in the last 2:09 of the half, with Schilling's jump shot beating the buzzer for a 43-38 lead. Augustana won its 15th straight game. The Vikings built their lead to 14 points at 62-48. Terry then scored seven points to bring LMU within five at 64-59. He left with his fourth foul with 10:26 remaining, allowing Schilling and Jansen to dominate inside.

Sanders scores 23 points to lift East All-Stars - Mar 29, 2016

To a 120-107 Win in Reese's Division II All-Star Game
Frisco, Texas - Rodney Sanders of Southern New Hampshire scored 23 points to lift the East All-Stars over the West All-Stars, 120-107, in the Reese's Division II College All-Star game Friday night at Dr. Pepper Arena.
Kyle Cooper (6'7''-F, agency: Duran International) of Hillsdale added 20 points and eight rebounds and Isaac Sevlie (6'9''-F/C-93) of Minnesota State Moorhead added 18 for coach Larry Gipson 's East team, which led 63-56 at halftime.
Mark Ogden (6'9''-F-94), Jr. of Dixie State matched Sanders' game-high 23 points and Jordan Faison (6'7''-F) of Cal Poly Pomona added 18 points and a team-high seven rebounds for the West, coached by former Pittsburg State coach Gene Iba .
The Reese's Division II College All-Star game is conducted by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) and features 20 of the nation's most outstanding players in NCAA Division II.
