Felician Claims 2025-26 CACC Championship-Mar 9, 2026
Fast Start Keys Golden Falcons' Victory over Goldey-Beacom in Final
No. 1 seed Felician University defeated No. 2 seed Goldey-Beacom College, 91-81, in the championship final of the 2025-26 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men’s Basketball Championship Tournament on Sunday afternoon. The game was hosted by Caldwell University at the George R. Newman Center.
Final tournament information is available at the CACC Championship Central web page at https://caccathletics.org/tournaments/?id=27.
Felician (27-3) claims its third CACC men’s basketball title, having also won the championship in 2009-10 and 2021-22. The Golden Falcons earn the conference’s automatic berth into the NCAA Division II East Regional Championship.
Felician, which never trailed, opened up a 25-9 lead after six minutes of action. The Golden Falcons were still ahead, 41-31, at halftime. Goldey-Beacom got as close as a three-point deficit at the 16:13 mark, and was still within 54-50 with 12:54 remaining, but Felician scored the game’s next six points. The Golden Falcons led by as many as 16 in the closing minutes.
Jeremiah Anderson (6'1''-G) scored 34 points and added eight rebounds and five assists for Felician. Teammate Noah Hutchins (6'1''-G) finished with 20 points. Tre Powell netted 26 points and Julian Williams (6'8''-F) scored 18 points with 14 rebounds for the Lightning (21-10).
Anderson was named the tournament’s most valuable player after setting the event’s NCAA-era record by scoring 89 points during Felician’s three games. Felician looks forward to the NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball Selection Show tonight at 11 p.m.
Later Sunday, the Felician women’s baskeball team also won the CACC championship, marking just third occasion in the conference’s NCAA era in which the same team won both basketball titles in the same year. Philadelphia University/Thomas Jefferson University accomplished the feat in both 2008-09 and 2023-24.
