Courtesy of Eurobasket LLC Every week we bring you a list of the top former Cardinals players who continue their career in pro basketball.
#1. Haywood Highsmith (6'6''-F-1996, played in 2014-18, plays pro in the NBA). He could not help the Miami Heat (46-36) to beat the Philadelphia 76ers (47-35) in the NBA. Highsmith recorded 9 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals in 29 minutes. But the Miami Heat (46-36) was edged105-104 on the road by the 76ers. This year Highsmith averages 6.2ppg, 3.2rpg and 1.1apg in 68 games he played so far.
#2. Brent Price (6'2''-G-1999, graduated '2023, plays in the TBL) was the major contributor in a Jamestown Jackals' victory against the Glass City Wranglers (1-9) 116-102 in the TBL last Friday. He scored 26 points (!!!) and grabbed 9 rebounds (was perfect 5-for-5 from the free throw line); quite an impressive performance considering it's only Price's first season in pro basketball. The Jamestown Jackals have 6-5 record this season. Price has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 15.7ppg, 5.0rpg, 2.0apg and 1.3spg.
#3. Jarett Haines (5'11''-PG-1999, played in 2019-22, currently in the TBL), who plays in the TBL was not able to help the West Virginia Grind (2-10) in their last game. Despite Haines' good performance the West Virginia Grind (#8) lost 97-103 in Kokomo to the Bobkats. He scored 11 points and added 4 assists in a mere 18 minutes. It was West Virginia Grind's third consecutive loss in a row. Haines has relatively good stats this year 10.7ppg, 3.0rpg and 2.3apg in three games.
#4. Jeremiah April (7'0''-C-1995, played in 2018-20, plays pro in the TBL) is a teammate of previously mentioned Jarett Haines. But that was another game of his team in TBL which we would like to mention. April managed to help West Virginia Grind to win against the Cincinnati Warriors (5-9) 104-103. He scored only 2 points, had 7 rebounds and made 3 blocks. The West Virginia Grind has not so impressive 2-10 record this season. This year April averages 2.2ppg and 2.0rpg.
