#1. James Laput (6'10''-C-1996, played in 2015-19, plays pro in Philippines) was the major contributor in Hotshots' victory against the closely-ranked North Port (4-4) 104-97 in a derby game in the Filipino PBA in Wednesday night's game. He scored 14 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in a mere 17 minutes. Magnolia Hotshots (4-2) are placed fifth in the PBA. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. This year Laput averages 6.5ppg and 3.3rpg in six games he played so far.
#2. Isaiah Johnson (6'0''-PG-1993, played in 2013-15, plays in Portugal) could not help Portimonense (6-14) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his good performance Portimonense was defeated 81-72 at home by the higher-ranked Vitoria SC (#7). Johnson scored 11 points, had 5 boards, passed 4 assists and added 4 steals. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Johnson has relatively good stats this season 12.2ppg, 3.0rpg, 4.8apg and 3.6spg.
#3. Herdie Lawrence (6'1''-G-1992, played in 2013-15, currently in Germany) was not able to help Haiterbach in their game against Giessen (22-5) in the German Regionalliga (fourth division), despite his very good performance last Saturday. Lawrence was the top scorer with 32 points. He also added 8 boards, dished 6 assists and stole 3 balls in 39 minutes. But the ninth-placed Haiterbach (12-15) lost 68-80 on their home court in Haiterbach to the second-ranked Giessen in the South-West group. Lawrence's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial. Lawrence has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 23.1ppg, 5.5rpg, 3.0apg and 3.3spg in 23 games.
#4. C.J. Wilson (5'11''-PG-1994, played in 2013-17, plays in Poland) led Niedzwiadki Chemart Przemysl to a victory against the closely-ranked Decka (16-18) 105-95 in the Polish 1Liga (second division) last Sunday. He had a double-double by scoring 14 points and making 16 passes in 35 minutes. Niedzwiadki Chemart Przemysl (11-23) is placed 14th in the 1Liga. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. The Regular Season already ended. It's Wilson's first season with the team. Wilson has very impressive stats this year 22.3ppg, 4.7rpg, 8.1apg and 2.3spg in 21 games.
