Detrek Browning, a 6'1'' point guard who graduated from FMU in 2018 and received the prestigious All-PeachBelt Player of the Year award that same year, currently showcases his basketball skills playing professionally in Georgia. In a recent thrilling matchup, Browning led Kutaisi to a hard-fought victory over the closely-ranked Batumi with a final score of 76-70 in the Georgian Superleague. This impressive performance earned him the title of MVP of the game, as he demonstrated his prowess on the court by recording a double-double with 25 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 assists in 38 minutes of play. The intense game between these top 4 ranked teams highlighted Kutaisi's dominance as the leader of the league, securing their fourth consecutive win under Browning's leadership.
Browning's exceptional year is marked by outstanding individual achievements, boasting impressive statistics that include averaging 22.4 points per game, making him the league's top scorer. Additionally, he contributes 4.5 rebounds, 5.6 assists, and 2.0 steals per game, solidifying his reputation as a standout player in the league. Browning's consistent performance and remarkable contributions to his team's success exemplify his status as a true champion in the world of basketball.
