Here is the weekly review of the top performing Eagles alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.
#1. Australian champion Tad Dufelmeier, a 6'0'' point guard at 30 years old who graduated from CUI in 2018 and received the All-PacWest Second Team award, currently plays professionally in Australia. In a recent game, despite his impressive performance, the first-placed Knox Raiders (7-2) were narrowly defeated 111-108 on the road by the much lower-ranked (#12) Pioneers in the South group.
Dufelmeier showcased his skills by achieving a double-double with 23 points and 12 rebounds, while also contributing 5 assists and 3 steals in 40 minutes of play. Despite his remarkable display on the court, his efforts were not enough to secure a victory for his team.
In a separate game against Mt. Gambier, Dufelmeier once again displayed his talent by scoring 23 points, grabbing 12 rebounds, and distributing 5 assists. Although his team fell short in that match, his exceptional performance earned him the prestigious Triple-Double Badge from eurobasket.com.
Throughout the season, Dufelmeier has maintained solid statistics, averaging 11.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.8 assists, and 2.2 steals per game in the nine games he has played so far.
#2. British champion Tim Adetukasi, a 25-year-old forward standing at 6'6'' and an Eagles alumnus from 2024, is currently playing professionally in the United Kingdom. In a recent game, he played a pivotal role in Manchester Basketball's triumph over the closely-ranked Bristol Flyers with a score of 90-85 in the British Super League Basketball. Adetukasi showcased his skills by contributing 8 points, 6 rebounds, and 1 assist in 29 minutes of play.
Manchester Basketball, with a record of 19-13, currently holds the third position in the league standings. This marks Adetukasi's first season with the team, and his impact has been significant. His exceptional performance against the Flyers not only boosted his individual stats but also proved instrumental in securing the victory for his team, propelling them to become the champion in the game.
Throughout the season, Adetukasi has maintained an average of 9.7 points per game and 4.4 rebounds per game across 33 games. His consistent contributions on the court have undoubtedly solidified his position as a key player for Manchester Basketball, further enhancing their prospects of success in the league.
#3. Rob McCoy, a 29-year-old 6'7'' forward who graduated from CUI in 2020 and received the All-PacWest Second Team award that year, is currently playing professionally in Portugal for Olhanense. In their recent game, Olhanense suffered a defeat against the second-ranked Maia Basket with a score of 73-83, despite McCoy's notable performance. McCoy, who contributed 12 points in 24 minutes of play, emerged as the team's second-highest scorer during the match.
This season marks McCoy's debut with Olhanense, and he has showcased his talent and determination on the court. His overall performance this year has been commendable, averaging 12.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.6 steals per game across 23 games. Despite his individual achievements, McCoy's team was unable to clinch victory in the recent game against Maia Basket, highlighting the challenging nature of the competition in the league's Second Stage.
