We bring you last week's top former Spartans players who are currently playing in pro basketball.
#1. Tyson Leitao (6'7''-F-2002, played in 2021-25, plays pro in Germany) was the major contributor in an Iserlohn Kangaroos' victory against the seventh-ranked Sixers (3-4) 83-68 in the German ProB (third division) on Saturday night.
He recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and getting 13 rebounds. Leitao also added 4 assists, 3 blocks and 6 steals in 36 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his first season in pro basketball. Iserlohn Kangaroos (2-5) is placed 12th in North group.
But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen.
It's Leitao's first year with the team.
Leitao has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 18.7ppg, 9.6rpg, 1.1apg and 2.0spg.
Leitao is a naturalized Cape Verdean.
#2. Cedric Belemene (6'7''-F-1996, played in 2018-19, plays in Spain) led Tijola to an easy victory against the ninth-ranked Motril (2-3) crushing them 92-62 in the Spanish Tercera FEB (fourth division) in Saturday night's game.
Belemene had a double-double by scoring 14 points and getting 17 rebounds.
CD Baloncesto Olula Del Rio Tijola (5-0) is placed second in Group D-A.
So far his team won all five games in the Regular Season.
But the season just started, so everything may happen.
It's Belemene's first year with the team.
He has relatively good stats this season 14.6ppg, 9.0rpg, 1.4apg and 1.6spg in five games he played so far.
#3. Alberto Moreno (6'3''-G-1996, played in 2016-19, currently in Spain), who plays in the Spanish Segunda FEB (third division) could not help SBA (2-3) to beat Albacete (3-2).
Moreno scored 6 points and added 6 assists (was perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line) in 26 minutes.
The ninth-placed SBA (2-3) was edged79-78 at home by the higher-ranked Albacete (#6) in the East group.
But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen.
It's Moreno's first year with the team.
This season he averages 5.6ppg, 3.0rpg, 2.6apg and 1.2spg.
