EuroBasket Pro Greyhounds Weekly Update

We bring you last week's top former Greyhounds players who are currently playing in pro basketball.

   #1. Experienced Phil Henry (6'8''-F-1991, played in 2012-22, plays pro in Cyprus) was the major contributor in APOEL's victory against one of league's weakest teams Apollon (0-2) 90-88 in the Cypriot ECOMMBX BL on Friday night. He scored 19 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 27 minutes. APOEL Nicosia (1-9) is located at the very bottom in the ECOMMBX BL. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Henry has relatively good stats this year 15.0ppg and 8.0rpg. He is a naturalized Jamaican.

   #2. Isaiah Murphy (6'5''-G-1998, played in 2018-20, plays in Japan) managed to help Nagoya Diamond Dolphins in a victory against the 11th-ranked Grouses (2-3) 82-69 in the Japanese B1 League in Wednesday night's game. He scored 5 points and had 3 steals. Nagoya Diamond Dolphins (4-1) are placed second in West group. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. But the season just started, so everything may happen. This year Murphy averages 2.4ppg, 2.4rpg and 1.2apg in five games he played so far. He is a naturalized Japanese.

   #3. Blazej Czerniewicz (6'6''-F-2002, played in 2022-24, currently in Poland) contributed to a 1-point WKS Slask Wroclaw's victory against the closely-ranked Cluj Napoca 94-93 in the Eurocup last Wednesday. He scored only 3 points in 11 minutes. WKS Slask Wroclaw (2-1) is placed fifth in the Eurocup. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. It's Czerniewicz's first year with the team. This season Czerniewicz averages 1.5ppg.

   #4. Antonio Morales (6'10''-C-1995, played in 2018-19, plays pro in Spain) could not help Salou (0-2) in their last game. Despite his good performance the 13th-placed Salou (0-2) lost 57-68 at home to the much higher-ranked (#4) Lliria in the East group. Morales was the top scorer with 13 points. He also added 6 rebounds. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. Morales has relatively good stats this year 12.0ppg, 5.5rpg and 1.5spg in two games.
