Valdosta State University added 23-year-old Dominican Rep. guard Jose Cuello (6'1''-185lbs) to their roster for the new 2025-26 season. He transferred from University of Maryland Eastern Shore (NCAA Division I) where he played during his sophomore year. Cuello averaged just 2.9ppg, 1.4rpg, and 1.1apg in 29 games last season.
He played at College of the Sequoias between 2022-24. His team won Central Valley Conference Co-Championship in 2024. Cuello helped his team make it to the CCCAA State Championship Finals that year. His team won Central Valley Conference Championship in 2023. He helped his team make it to the CCCAA State Championship Quarterfinals that year. Cuello was also voted to Central Valley Conference All-Freshman Team, Central Valley Conference All-Defensive Team and All-Central Valley Conference Honorable Mention that season.
He graduated from Wings Academy (Bronx, NY) in 2022.
Cuello represented the Dominican Republic at the CCCAA State Championship Finalist last year.
