Here is the weekly review of the top performing Nanooks alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.
#1. Travante Williams (6'4''-SF-1993, played in 2015-16, plays pro in Romania) led Oradea to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Brasov (15-9) crushing them 92-66 in the Romanian Liga Nationala in Monday night's game.
He recorded 15 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists in 29 minutes.
CSM CSU Oradea (8-8) is placed third in the Liga Nationala.
Williams has relatively good stats this year 11.2ppg, 4.0rpg, 2.2apg and 1.4spg in 24 games he played so far.
He is a naturalized Portuguese.
#2. Experienced Eric Fongue (6'7''-SF-1991, played in 2014-15, plays in Norway) managed to help Fyllingen BBK to win against the closely-ranked Centrum (20-10) 78-74 in the Norwegian BLNO last Thursday.
He scored only 2 points and grabbed 5 rebounds.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Fyllingen BBK (26-4) is placed first in the BLNO.
It was his team's 17th consecutive victory in a row.
This season Fongue averages 9.1ppg, 3.3rpg and 1.3apg.
He has also Swiss citizenship.
#3. Jaycson BeReal (6'7''-SF, played in 2022-24, currently in Portugal), who plays in the Portuguese Proliga (second division) could not help Galitos-Aveiro (3-21) to beat Maia Basket (11-12).
BeReal recorded 8 points in 33 minutes.
The eighth-placed Galitos-Aveiro (3-21) lost 71-77 at home to the higher-ranked (#3) Maia Basket in the Places 9-16 group.
His team will play only one more game in the Second Stage. And that game will be critical.
It's BeReal's first season with the team.
BeReal has relatively good stats this year 13.5ppg, 5.1rpg and 1.7apg in 17 games.
#4. Roberto Gittens (6'5''-SG-1999, played in 2020-21, plays pro in the TBL) was not able to help the Vancouver Volcanoes in their game against the Wenatchee Bighorns (5-3) in the TBL.
Gittens scored 7 points and grabbed 5 rebounds.
The Vancouver Volcanoes (#4) were edged134-131 on the road by the Bighorns.
This season Gittens averages 6.0ppg, 3.9rpg and 1.6apg.
