We bring you last week's top former Nanooks players who are currently playing in pro basketball.
#1. Travante Williams (6'4''-SF-1993, played in 2015-16, plays pro in Romania) could not help one of league's weakest teams Oradea in their game last Sunday. Despite his very good performance Oradea was edged81-80 at home by the higher-ranked Sibiu (#11).
Williams scored 15 points and added 3 passes in 26 minutes.
Williams has relatively good stats this season 11.0ppg, 3.8rpg, 2.2apg and 1.4spg.
He is a naturalized Portuguese.
#2. Experienced Eric Fongue (6'7''-SF-1991, played in 2014-15, plays in Norway) managed to help Fyllingen BBK in a victory against the closely-ranked Centrum (20-10) 79-73 in the Norwegian BLNO in Wednesday night's game.
He recorded only 4 points and grabbed 4 rebounds.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Fyllingen BBK (26-4) is placed first in the BLNO.
It was his team's 17th consecutive victory in a row.
This year Fongue averages 9.6ppg, 3.2rpg and 1.4apg in 30 games he played so far.
He has also Swiss passport.
#3. Jaycson BeReal (6'7''-SF, played in 2022-24, currently in Portugal), who plays in the Portuguese Proliga (second division) was not able to help Galitos-Aveiro (3-20) in their game last Sunday. Despite BeReal's good performance the eighth-placed Galitos-Aveiro (3-20) was defeated 85-71 on the road by the second-ranked Lusitania in the Places 9-16 group.
He scored 13 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 27 minutes.
It's BeReal's first season with the team.
BeReal has relatively good stats this year 13.8ppg, 5.3rpg and 1.8apg.
#4. Roberto Gittens (6'5''-SG-1999, played in 2020-21, plays pro in the TBL) contributed to an easy victory against the Willamette Valley Jaguars (0-5) crushing them 137-94 in the TBL on Saturday night.
Gittens scored 5 points and added 3 assists.
The Vancouver Volcanoes have not so impressive 2-4 record this season.
It was his team's first victory after four consecutive loses.
But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen.
This year Gittens averages 5.8ppg, 3.7rpg and 1.8apg in six games.
