EuroBasket Pro Nanooks Weekly Update

We bring you last week's top former Nanooks players who are currently playing in pro basketball.



   #1. Travante Williams (6'6''-F-93, graduated '16, plays pro in Portugal) was the major contributor in Oliveirense's victory against the tenth-ranked Ovarense (7-15) crushing them 99-72 in the Portuguese LPB on Friday night. He recorded 17 points in 20 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Williams' third season in pro basketball. U.D. Oliveirense (28-4) is placed first in Places 1-6 group. Williams has relatively good stats this season 14.4ppg, 4.3rpg, 2.9apg and 2.1spg.

   #2. Experienced Brad Oleson (6'3''-PG-83, graduated '05, plays in Spain) managed to help Universidad Catolica de Murcia CB in a victory against the closely-ranked Gran Canaria (14-20) 82-77 in the Spanish Liga Endesa in Sunday night's game. Oleson recorded 5 points. Universidad Catolica de Murcia CB (12-22) is placed 14th in the Liga Endesa. The Regular Season already ended. This year Oleson averages 5.2ppg, 1.9rpg and 1.3apg in 34 games he played so far. He is a naturalized Spaniard.

   #3. Eric Fongue (6'7''-F-91, graduated '15, currently in Switzerland), who plays in the Swiss SBL could not help Lakers (2-3) to beat Geneve Lions (3-2). He scored 6 points in 18 minutes. The fifth-placed Lakers (2-3) were badly defeated 94-75 at home by the second-ranked Geneve Lions in the Places 1-6 group. It's Fongue's first season with the team. This year Fongue averages 7.6ppg and 2.5rpg.

   #4. Brandon Davis (6'0''-PG, graduated '17, plays pro in the Mediterranean Cup) led Dallas Heat to a victory over the Europe Basketball Academy (0-4) crushing them 112-72 in the Mediterranean Cup on Friday night. He was MVP of the game. Davis scored 26 points (!!!), grabbed 5 boards, dished 5 assists and stole 3 balls; not bad, considering it's only his second season in pro basketball. The Dallas Heat has 3-1 record this season. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. The Regular Season already ended in the Mediterranean Cup. Davis has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 20.0ppg, 4.8rpg, 5.8apg and 3.8spg in four games.
