Every week we bring you a list of the top former Panthers players who continue their career in pro basketball.
#1. Marcus Fillyaw (6'1''-PG-94, graduated '16, plays pro in Puerto Rico) could not help Brujos de Guayama (14-17) in their last game. Despite his good performance Brujos de Guayama was edged 87-84 on the road by the higher-ranked (#4) Vaqueros.
Fillyaw recorded 11 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 22 minutes.
There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical.
This year Fillyaw averages 5.5ppg, 2.8rpg, 3.0apg and 1.4spg in 31 games he played so far.
He is a naturalized Puerto Rican.
#2. Josh Derksen (6'9''-F-95, graduated '17, plays in Australia) was the major contributor in a Southern Districts Spartans' victory against the ninth-ranked Phoenix (2-2) 105-100 in the Australian State League (second division) last Sunday.
He recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and getting 10 rebounds. Derksen also added 5 assists; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his second season in pro basketball. Southern Districts Spartans (6-0) are placed second in QBL group.
So far his team won all six games in the Regular Season.
But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen.
Derksen has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 18.7ppg, 8.0rpg and 3.2apg.
#3. Ken-Jah Bosley (6'1''-G, graduated '17, currently in Australia) was not able to help Albury Wodonga Bandits in their game against Huskies (4-6) in the Australian State League (second division).
Bosley scored 7 points in only 6 minutes.
The 12th-placed Albury Wodonga Bandits (5-5) lost 92-102 in Hobart to the higher-ranked (#11) Huskies in the NBL1 group.
Bosley has very impressive stats this year 24.7ppg, 5.0rpg, 2.2apg and 1.3spg in nine games.
#4. Amir Warnock (6'9''-F-95, graduated '18, plays pro in Spain) led Ponferrada CDP to an easy victory against the third-ranked Marbella (1-2) 88-71 in the Spanish EBA (fourth division) in Saturday night's game.
Warnock recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points and getting 15 rebounds. He also added 4 assists; not bad, considering it's only Warnock's first season in pro basketball. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in group Final 1. Bierzo Fitness Dentomedic CDP Ponferrada (3-0) is placed first in Final 1 group.
So far Ponferrada CDP won all three games in the Finals.
Warnock has relatively good stats this season 13.8ppg, 10.7rpg and 1.1bpg.
