Here is the weekly review of the top performing Wolves alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.
#1. Gavin Field (6'8''-F/G-89, graduated '12, plays pro in Australia) led Cockburn Cougars to a victory over the tenth-ranked Suns (2-4) 88-78 in the Australian State League (second division) on Friday night.
He was MVP of the game. Field recorded a double-double by scoring 24 points and getting 13 rebounds. He also added 5 assists and 4 steals in 36 minutes.
Cockburn Cougars (9-9) are placed in SBL group.
But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen.
It's Field's sixth year with the team.
Field has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 22.0ppg, 9.5rpg, 3.8apg and 2.3spg.
#2. Alexander Abreu (5'11''-PG-91, graduated '15, plays in Puerto Rico) contributed to an easy victory against the seventh-ranked Atleticos (6-11) 101-85 in the Puerto Rican BSN in Sunday night's game.
Abreu scored 13 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and dished 7 assists.
Santeros de Aguada (11-6) is placed first in the BSN.
This year Abreu averages 8.1ppg, 2.4rpg and 6.3apg in 17 games he played so far.
#3. Ryan Godfrey (6'2''-G-90, graduated '14, currently in Australia) contributed to a Rockingham Flames' victory against the sixth-ranked Giants (4-3) 84-74 in the Australian State League (second division) last Saturday.
He recorded 14 points in 29 minutes.
Rockingham Flames (4-2) are placed fourth in SBL group.
But the season just started, so everything may happen.
It's Godfrey's fifth year with the team.
This season Godfrey has very high stats. He averages 16.2ppg, 3.6rpg, 6.6apg, 1.2bpg and 2.4spg.
#4. Shannon Fowler (6'8''-F-93, graduated '17, plays pro in Belize) helped Smart Belize Hurricanes win their game against the league outsider Running Rebels (1-9) 88-72 in a derby game in the Belizean NEBL on Friday night.
Fowler scored 8 points and grabbed 5 rebounds.
Smart Belize Hurricanes (6-5) is placed fourth in the NEBL.
His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical.
Fowler has relatively good stats this year 11.0ppg, 5.9rpg and 1.3apg in seven games.
#5. Deonta Stocks (6'1''-G-88, graduated '15, plays in Brazil). Stocks could not help Sao Paulo FC (6-5) to beat Londrina (9-4) in the Brazilian Liga Ouro (second division).
He scored 7 points and added 4 passes in 29 minutes.
Sao Paulo FC was defeated 92-78 on the road by the leading Londrina.
There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial.
Stocks has relatively good stats this season 14.3ppg, 2.8rpg, 4.0apg and 2.2spg.
