We bring you last week's top former Cougars players who are currently playing in pro basketball.



   #1. Kenney Funderburk (6'4''-G-92, graduated '15, plays pro in North Macedonia) could not help one of league's weakest teams Feni Industries (10-9) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Feni Industries lost 63-74 on the road to the higher-ranked (#5) Kozuv. Funderburk was the top scorer with 26 points. He also added 6 rebounds in 40 minutes. It was Feni Industries' third consecutive loss in a row. Funderburk's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. Funderburk has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 21.2ppg, 4.3rpg, 6.2apg and 1.6spg in 18 games he played so far.

   #2. Ty Harris (6'2''-G-91, graduated '15, plays in North Macedonia) was not able to help Pelister Bitola (3-14) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his very good performance Pelister Bitola was crushed 97-69 at home by the higher-ranked Gostivar (#8). Harris was the second best scorer with 17 points. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. It's Harris' first season with the team. This year he has very high stats. Harris averages 16.8ppg, 2.8rpg, 4.7apg and 1.1spg.

   #3. Experienced John A. Thomas (6'6''-PF-82, graduated '04, currently in Argentina), who plays in the Argentinian La Liga Argentina (second division) was not able to secure a victory for Petrolero (12-20) in their last game. Despite Thomas' good performance the sixth-placed Petrolero (12-20) lost 90-105 in General Roca to the higher-ranked (#5) Progreso in the South - South group. He scored 11 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 20 minutes. It was Petrolero's sixth consecutive loss in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be important. It's Thomas' first season with the team. Thomas has very impressive stats this year 20.6ppg, 9.4rpg and 1.3apg in 26 games.

   #4. Matthias Sigurdarson (6'0''-PG-94, graduated '16, plays pro in Iceland) couldn't help one of league's weakest teams IR in their game against Njardvik (8-10) in the Icelandic Dominos League. Sigurdarson scored 9 points and added 4 passes. But IR was defeated 85-70 on their home court in Reykjavik by the higher-ranked Njardvik (#4). Sigurdarson has relatively good stats this season 10.9ppg, 3.8rpg, 4.1apg and 1.3spg.

   #5. Nicklaus Turner (6'3''-G-92, graduated '14, plays in North Macedonia) couldn't help Vardar (15-1) in their game against Gostivar (4-11) in the North Macedonian Prva Liga. He was the second best scorer with 9 points. Turner also added 3 assists in 23 minutes. But Vardar was crushed 99-66 on the opponent's court by the lower-ranked (#8) Gostivar. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be extremely important. This year Turner averages 8.4ppg, 2.9rpg and 2.8apg in eight games.

   #6. JaCori Payne (5'10''-PG-96, graduated '18, currently in Armenia) led Aragatz to a victory over the closely-ranked Artik 107-101 in the Armenian League A on Friday night. Payne was MVP of the game. He recorded 37 points (!!!), 4 rebounds, 8 assists and 3 steals (made all of his eleven free throws !!!). This season Payne has very high stats. He averages 30.9ppg, 5.6rpg, 6.9apg and 2.9spg.

   #7. Arben Camaj (6'9''-F/C, graduated '17, plays pro in Armenia) couldn't help Urartu-Vivaro (12-8) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Urartu-Vivaro lost 97-105 on the opponent's court to the lower-ranked (#3) Artsakh. Camaj was the second best scorer with 17 points. He also added 4 rebounds in 26 minutes. This year Camaj averages 7.9ppg, 7.4rpg and 1.1apg in nine games.
