We bring you last week's top former Tritons players who are currently playing in pro basketball.
#1. Ivana Grbic (6'0''-G/F-91, graduated '15, plays pro in Germany) was the major contributor in a 2-point DJK Brose Bamberg's victory against the fourth-ranked Jahn Muenchen (8-7) 61-59 in the German 2.Bundesliga (second division) on Sunday night.
He scored 13 points, had 4 rebounds and dished 6 assists in 33 minutes.
DJK Brose Bamberg (11-5) is placed second in South group.
The Regular Season already ended.
Grbic has relatively good stats this season 11.5ppg, 4.9rpg, 4.6apg and 2.5spg.
#2. Trevon Young (6'6''-PF-95, graduated '18, plays in Argentina) led La Union to a victory over the third-ranked Centro Espanol Plottier (15-16) 76-67 in the Argentinian La Liga Argentina (second division) in Sunday night's game.
He was MVP of the game. Young had a double-double by scoring 21 points and getting 11 rebounds; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his first season in pro basketball. La Union Colon (11-18) is placed seventh in South - C.South group.
It's Young's first year with the team.
Young has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 17.5ppg, 9.2rpg, 1.3apg and 1.1spg in 26 games he played so far.
#3. Obi Kyei (6'9''-F-94, graduated '17, currently in Spain), who plays in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) could not help Actel Forca Lleida (11-12) to beat Ourense (14-9). It was not his best game last Friday.
Kyei scored only 3 points and blocked 2 blocks in 16 minutes.
Actel Forca Lleida was defeated 70-61 on the road by the higher-ranked Ourense (#5).
It's Kyei's first season with the team.
This year he averages 7.6ppg and 4.0rpg.
Kyei has also Australian citizenship.
#4. Lance Kearse (6'6''-F-89, graduated '12, plays pro in Spain) contributed to Estela's victory against the sixth-ranked Azuqueca (11-12) 71-66 in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division) on Wednesday night.
He scored 8 points.
Igualatorio Cantabria Estela Santander (14-9) is placed second in West group.
It's Kearse's first season with the team.
This year Kearse averages 8.9ppg, 4.6rpg and 1.2apg in 21 games.
He is a naturalized Jamaican.
