EuroBasket Pro Coyotes Weekly Update

Here is the weekly review of the top performing Coyotes alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.



   #1. Experienced Brandon Brown (6'7''-PF-85, graduated '09, plays pro in South Korea) could not help KCC Egis (21-24) in their last game. Despite Brown's very good performance KCC Egis were edged 80-77 on the road by the league outsider (#10) Samsung Thunders. He had a double-double by scoring 24 points and getting 11 rebounds. Brown also added 8 assists in 38 minutes. Brown has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 25.3ppg, 13.2rpg, 3.9apg and 2.0spg in 45 games he played so far. Worth to mention he played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

   #2. Theron Laudermill (6'8''-PF-89, graduated '12, plays in Mexico) was the major contributor in a Correcaminos UAT Victoria's victory against the leader Fuerza Regia (31-9) 85-71 in the Mexican LNBP (second division) last Friday. Laudermill scored 18 points, grabbed 9 boards, passed 3 assists and added 3 steals. Correcaminos UAT Victoria (18-22) is placed fifth in North group. The Regular Season already ended. Laudermill has relatively good stats this season 13.8ppg, 8.4rpg and 1.3apg. He attended previously one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.

   #3. Kwame Alexander (6'7''-F/C-90, graduated '13, currently in Chile) led AB Ancud to a victory over the leader Las Animas (24-8) 77-72 in the Chilean Liga Nacional on Saturday night. Alexander was MVP of the game. He had a double-double by scoring 19 points and getting 13 rebounds in 30 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in group Conferencia Sur. Asociacion Basquetbol Ancud (0-2) is placed first in Conferencia Sur. It's Alexander's first season with the team. Alexander has relatively good stats this year 14.5ppg, 10.3rpg, 1.7apg and 1.1spg in 15 games.

   #4. Anthony January (6'8''-F-93, graduated '16, plays pro in Lithuania) was not able to help Ereliai Mazeikiai (12-23) in their last game on Friday. Despite January's good performance the sixth-placed Ereliai Mazeikiai (12-23) was crushed 78-57 at home by the higher-ranked Taurages (#5) in the Places 9-15 group. He was the second best scorer with 10 points. January also added 4 rebounds. This season January averages 4.0ppg and 2.8rpg.

   #5. Ivan Johnson (6'8''-C-84, graduated '07, plays in Dominican Republic) contributed to Sameji's victory against the closely-ranked Pueblo Nuevo (3-5) 107-96 in the Dominican Rep. Santiago League (second division) last Sunday. Johnson scored 10 points in 18 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Sameji (4-2) is placed third in the Santiago League. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Johnson has very impressive stats this year 20.0ppg, 6.7rpg, 1.8apg and 1.3bpg in six games.

   #6. Robbie Robinson (6'5''-G/F, graduated '12, currently in Canada) was not able to secure a victory for the Island Storm in their game against the Saint John Riptide in the NBL Canada. Robinson scored 5 points. His team was defeated 100-95. This season Robinson has very high stats. He averages 20.0ppg, 6.7rpg, 1.8apg and 1.3bpg.

JaCardo Hawkins (6'8''-F-95) played for Al Hilla in Iraqi IBL last year
Brian Goins (5'10''-PG) played for West Coast Ronin in the The Basketball Tournament last year
