Nova Southeastern Men's Basketball makes DII History, wins SSC Tournament for Fourth Consecutive Year-Mar 10, 2025
Sharks set home winning streak record, beat Florida Southern in SSC Title game
A win 1,838 days in the making. The second-ranked Nova Southeastern Sharks Men's Basketball team set NCAA Division II history winning their 81st consecutive home game and won the Sunshine State Conference tournament title for the fourth consecutive year, defeating the No. 23 Florida Southern Moccasins 103-89 on Sunday afternoon at the Rick Case Arena.
MJ Iraldi (6'6''-G), the Sunshine State Conference Player of the Year, earned Tournament Most Valuable Player honors, scoring a team-high 27 points, while adding nine rebounds, six assists, six steals and a pair of blocks in the victory. Dallas Graziani (5'8''-PG) recorded his 15th double-double of the season, scoring 23 points with 11 assists and adding five steals, also earned all-tournament team honors and was joined by Ryker Cisarik, who scored 20 points and added 11 rebounds for his sixth double-double of the season.
Head Coach Jim Crutchfield has now set two NCAA Division II records as the Sharks bench boss, having also set the consecutive regular season wins record (11/13/2021 - 1/3/2024) during the 2023-24 season.
MJ Iraldi set the NSU Men's Basketball single season scoring record on Sunday, breaking Will Yoakum (6'5''-G/F-1998, college: Nova SE)'s record (727) from the 2022-23 NCAA Division II National Championship season for the Sharks.
The Sharks have now won 30 games for the fourth consecutive season and have gone 129-5 during that time span.

MJ Iraldi, guard from the Nova Southeastern University, earned the All-Tournament MVP at the NCAA Division II. He received multiple other awards, picked up the Player of the Year, and was voted to the First Team and Tournament Team. With Iraldi's excellent performance, the Nova Southeastern University achieved the best record of the season in the league, finishing with an impressive 30 to 1 in the regular season. Iraldi averaged over 24 points and 5 rebounds per game in the league. He has totalled 23 games of 20 or more points on the year and recorded 30 or more points in 8 games. Iraldi's 42 points against the Embry Riddle were the most he scored in the 24 25 season.
Alex Steen, forward from the Florida Southern College, was named the Defensive Player of the Year of NCAA Division II. He collected multiple other honors, was selected to the First Team and Defensive Team and Tournament Team. Steen registered almost 19 points and over 10 rebounds per game that season in the league. He has totalled 12 games of 20 or more points and had double-doubles in 15 games on the year. Steen's 29 points against the Savannah State University were the most he scored in the 24 25 season.
Jadin Booth, 22-year old guard from the Florida Southern College, was chosen to the First Team at the NCAA Division II. He was also named to the Tournament Team. Booth recorded almost 22 points and over 5 assists per game over the season in the league. He has totalled 17 games of 20 or more points on the year and logged 30 or more points in 6 games. Booth registered double-doubles in 2 games during the event. His 40 points against the Lynn were the most he scored in the 24 25 season. He was selected to the NABC Division II All-South District First Team in 2023.
Dallas Graziani, point guard from the Nova Southeastern University, earned a spot in the First Team of NCAA Division II. He received multiple other awards, was voted to the Defensive Team and Tournament Team. Graziani averaged almost 12 points per game in the league. He led the NCAA2 in assists per game with over 9. Graziani has totalled 5 games of 20 or more points and notched double-doubles in 13 games on the year. His 26 points against the Eckerd were the most he scored in the 24 25 season.
Leo Beath, 21-year old forward from the Lynn University, was selected to the First Team at the NCAA Division II. He was also chosen to the Tournament Team. Beath recorded 17 points and over 8 rebounds per game that season in the league. He has totalled 7 games of 20 or more points on the year and registered 30 or more points in 2 games. Beath had double-doubles in 6 games at the event. His 32 points against the Embry Riddle were the most he scored in the 24 25 season.
