EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - No. 2 seed and 11th-ranked Bellarmine University captured the 2019 Great Lakes Valley Conference Men's Basketball Championship crown on Sunday with a 65-48 victory over No. 5 seed Drury University at the Vadalabene Center in Edwardsville, Illinois. The Knights won their third consecutive title and sixth overall. With the victory, Bellarmine (26-4) earned the Conference's automatic qualifying bid into the NCAA Division II national tournament, as the 64-team field will be revealed later this evening at 10:30 p.m. ET on NCAA.com. Bellarmine senior guard Daniel Ramser (6'5''-G), who was named to the All-Tournament Team and Most Outstanding Player, chipped in 12 points and seven rebounds in the win, while Chivarsky Corbett (6'7''-G/F-95) - also an All-Tournament team member - tallied a team-high 15 points with eight rebounds. Drury sophomore guard Conley Garrison (6'1''-G) scored a game-high 17 points en route to joining Ramser and Corbett on the All-Tournament team, along with Lewis senior guard and GLVC Player of the Year Kendale McCullum (6'1''-G) and Southern Indiana senior guard Alex Stein (6'3''-G). The Knights limited Drury (21-11) to just 41 shot attempts and 44 percent shooting from the field as the Panthers went 18-of-41 in the game.
