King takes first CC title, earns bid to NCAA Tournament - Mar 7, 2016
In what was an eventful day, the King University men's basketball team persevered through a delay to the stat of the Conference Carolinas Championship game in the Student Center Complex against second seed Barton College. The day started as the power went out midway through the National Anthem and the crowd of 712 finished by singing the rest of the song. The teams went back-and-forth in the early going, but King closed the final eight minutes of the first half on a 27-6 run to gain control of the contest as King went on to take the their first Conference Carolinas Tournament championship 85-53.
