Harris-Stowe defeats Central Baptist in highest scoring AMC Championship game in history - Mar 10, 2020

For the third-time in four years, the Harris-Stowe Hornets are winners of the American Midwest Conference (AMC) Men's Basketball Tournament Championship.
Highlights (any historical information dates back to 2005-06, unless otherwise noted):
Harris-Stowe defeated Central Baptist, 99-95.
The two teams combined for 194 points, the most-ever in an AMC Men's Basketball Tournament Championship game - previous record was 168 (Former-member Illinois-Springfield def. former-member McKendree, 86-82).
This marks the Hornets third-ever tournament title - 2017, 2018, 2020.
Harris-Stowe becomes the first opposing team to win inside A.R. Reddin Fieldhouse since Williams Baptist (Ark.) on Feb. 9, 2019, a span of 18 games.
AMC Player of the Year, Deshawn Munson (6'4''-G), picked up his seventh triple-double of the season with 37 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists.
The Mustangs received a team-high 19 points from Tyrone Alston (6'0''-PG), 17 points from Darius Polley (6'2''-G), 16 points from Darius Williams (6'4''-G) and 13 points from Zach Hudson (6'8''-F).
Munson's 37 points are tied for the most in a single-game in AMC men's basketball tournament history. He also tied the tournament record with 15 made field goals and tied for the second-most with 11 assists.
For the Hornets, Nick McKenzie (6'2''-G) tallied 15 points, David Spell (6'6''-F) poured in 13 points and Duane Clark (6'8''-F-97) Jr. added 12 points in the win.
Clark Jr. brought down a game-high 14 rebounds.
Both teams shot the ball well from the field and Central Baptist held a 48.6-percent (36-of-74) to 47.1-percent (32-of-68) advantage.
Harris-Stowe went 13-of-27 (48.1) from the 3-point line against the second-best team in the conference defending the three. Central Baptist entered the game allowing opponents to shoot 31.5-percent from distance.
Both offenses were clicking throughout the whole tournament, as Harris-Stowe averaged 100.0 points per game and Central Baptist scored 94.3 points per game.
