For the first time since 2022-23 and 13th time in program history, the Columbia College Cougars captured the 2026 American Midwest Conference (AMC) Tournament Championship with an 83-71 victory over No. 3 seed William Baptist University. Game Notes: Jemeal Goines (6'5''-F) recorded a double-double with 15 points and 15 rebounds. Four Eagles scored in double digits: Rico Quinton (6'10''-F) (18), Deion Wesson (6'0''-G) (18), Amarion Wilson (5'11''-G) (13) and Jesse Washington (6'2''-F) (10). Max Rieger (6'0''-PG) added 17 points off the bench, while AJ Walker (5'8''-PG) (16) and Adam Sausele (6'4''-G) (14) also scored in double figures for Columbia. Quinton and Benjamin Noonan (6'0''-G) led the team with seven rebounds. The Cougars shot 43.3 percent (26-of-60) from the field and added 20 points from the bench. Williams Baptist shot 41.7 percent (25-of-60) from the field. The Cougars won their ninth-straight game to improve to 28-3, while Williams Baptist dropped to 22-6. CC will be one of the 16 hosts for the NAIA Men's Basketball Championship opening rounds.
