Courtesy of Eurobasket LLC Every week we bring you a list of the top former Drovers players who continue their career in pro basketball.
#1. Experienced Kyle Hunt (6'10''-F/C-1989, played in 2011-12, plays pro in Japan) led Niigata Albirex to a 2-point victory over the closely-ranked Five Arrows (41-11) 75-73 in the Japanese B3 League last Saturday. He was MVP of the game. Hunt recorded 24 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and made 2 blocks in 37 minutes. Niigata Albirex (27-25) is placed sixth in the B3 League. Hunt has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 16.8ppg, 9.3rpg and 1.1apg in 48 games he played so far. Hunt is a naturalized Jamaican.
#2. Samkelo Cele (6'6''-G-1997, played in 2024-24, plays in Spain) could not help Valladolid (11-22) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Cele's very good performance Valladolid was defeated 95-84 on the road by the higher-ranked Ourense (#10). He scored 15 points and had 3 steals. Cele's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. This season Cele averages 9.6ppg and 2.0rpg.
#3. Stephon Hall (6'0''-PG-1999, played in 2018-22, currently in the TBL) was the major contributor in a Western Oklahoma Sky Kings' victory against the Enid Outlaws (10-6) 111-102 in the TBL in Friday night's game. He scored 21 points, grabbed 4 boards, dished 5 assists and stole 3 balls (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) in 36 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Hall's second season in pro basketball. The Western Oklahoma Sky Kings have 3-4 record this season. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the TBL Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. Hall has very impressive stats this year 17.5ppg, 4.3rpg, 4.8apg and 4.5spg in four games.
