Cole Morris Named Assistant Coach for UT Southern Firehawks

"I want to express my gratitude to Head Coach Andy Sharpe and Vice Chancellor/Director of Athletics Brandie Paul for allowing me to be a part of the Firehawk Men's Basketball program. I'm excited to join Coach Sharpe's staff and advance his vision for the Men's Basketball Program as we strive to create champions on and off the court." – Cole Morris

Morris, a native of Rimersburg, Pennsylvania was a three-year point guard at Penn State DuBois, where he started 56 of 63 appearances averaging nine points and 3.8 assists per game. He graduated in 2020 with a B.S. in Business Administration. He began his coaching career as an assistant at Wentworth Institution of Technology and Coker University.

"I have known Cole to possess a contagious energy that will permeate our program and align with the standard of excellence to which we will aspire daily. There is no task beneath Cole and that humility and commitment will serve our student-athletes well. Cole was a part of a staff at NCAA D2 Coker University last season that saw their program break numerous records and Cole was directly involved with the recruiting and skill development processes there that helped take Coker to another level. I'm excited to roll up my sleeves and work shoulder to shoulder with Cole as we continue to build upon the success that has been achieved here at UT Southern while continuing to elevate the standard and expectation of our Men's Basketball program."
