Here is the weekly review of the top performing Trailblazers alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.
#1. Marquis Jackson (6'0''-PG-1994, played in 2015-17, plays pro in France) could not help Champagne Chalons-Reims Basket (2-8) in their game last Sunday. Despite his good performance Champagne Chalons-Reims Basket was edged69-67 on the road by the higher-ranked Boulazac Basket (#3).
Jackson was the second best scorer with 10 points. He also added 4 passes in 31 minutes.
Jackson has relatively good stats this season 11.8ppg, 2.5rpg, 3.8apg and 2.6spg.
#2. Wesley Russell (6'4''-G-1993, played in 2014-14, plays in Brazil) led Blumenau to a 2-point victory over the second-ranked Praia (4-2) 71-69 in the Brazilian CBB (second division) in Saturday night's game.
He was MVP of the game. Russell scored 21 points, had 9 boards, passed 4 assists and added 3 steals.
Basquete Blumenau/APAB (9-10) is placed sixth in Conferencia Macarrao.
It was his team's first victory after three consecutive loses.
It's Russell's first season with the team.
He has relatively good stats this year 10.5ppg, 6.1rpg, 4.0apg and 1.5spg in eight games he played so far.
Russell is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.
