EuroBasket Pro Conquistadors Weekly Update

Here is the weekly review of the top performing Conquistadors alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.

   #1. Jordan Cardenas (6'9''-C-1998, played in 2019-20, plays pro in Chile) could not help Puerto Montt (0-2) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Puerto Montt lost 73-85 at home to the lower-ranked (#5) Puente Alto. Cardenas had a double-double by scoring 25 points and getting 12 rebounds. He also added and 3 steals in 37 minutes. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Cardenas has relatively good stats this year 12.4ppg, 8.5rpg and 1.2apg in 24 games he played so far.

   #2. Ryan Blanchett (6'8''-F/C-1996, played in 2014-18, plays in Australia) contributed to a 2-point Geraldton Buccaneers' victory against the 11th-ranked Giants (2-4) 96-94 in the Australian NBL One (second division) last Saturday. He scored 6 points. Geraldton Buccaneers (5-0) are placed third in West group. So far his team won all five games in the Regular Season. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. This year Blanchett averages 4.8ppg, 3.0rpg and 1.3apg.

   #3. Manyiel Wugol (6'6''-G/F-1999, played in 2022-23, currently in Australia), who plays in the Australian NBL One (second division) was not able to help Southwest Slammers (1-6) in their last game. Despite his good performance the 14th-placed Southwest Slammers (1-6) lost 83-92 on the road to the higher-ranked (#13) Lightning in the West group. Wugol scored 10 points in 25 minutes. It was Southwest Slammers' fifth consecutive loss in a row. But the season just started, so everything may happen. It's Wugol's first year with the team. He has relatively good stats this season 11.7ppg and 2.1rpg in seven games. Wugol has also Australian nationality.

   #4. Kenneth Santos (6'1''-G-1998, played in 2017-21, plays pro in Puerto Rico) managed to help Super Santeros de Aguada to win against the fifth-ranked Piratas (4-8) crushing them 105-82 in the Puerto Rican BSN in Friday night's game. He scored only 3 points. Super Santeros de Aguada (1-1) is placed fifth in Group A. This season Santos averages 0.8ppg.
