Jackson number one in WPBA for round 7 (by Hoops Agents)

Forward Angel Jackson (198-F-2001) put on an amazing game in the last round for Oakland Swish, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 24-year old player had a double-double of 31 points and 11 rebounds, while her team beat Reign (#5, 2-5) 68-55. Swish maintains the 4th position in WPBA . They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Swish will need more victories to improve their 4-3 record. Jackson has many years of experience at Swish, through which she has constantly improved. Former Jackson State University star has very solid stats this year. Jackson is in league's top in points (7th best: 22.5ppg), assists (4th best: 0.0apg) and averages impressive 4.5bpg and 57.6% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Mali Salimatou Kourouma (180-F-1999) of Berkeley Royals. Kourouma had a very good evening with 34 points and 9 rebounds. Bad luck as Royals lost that game 79-84 to Riptide (2-5). This loss caused Royals to drop to 6th position in the standings. 5 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Royals managed to get this year. Kourouma is one of the most experienced players at Royals and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 24.0ppg (#4). She also registered 7.2 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was guard Abigail Cooper (175-G-2001, agency: Over the Screen) of San Francisco Riptide (#7). Cooper got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. She went also for six assists. She was a key player of Riptide, leading her team to a 84-79 win against Royals (2-5). Riptide can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 2-5 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Cooper has a very solid season. In 5 games in WPBA she scored 16.0ppg. Cooper attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on her way to pro basketball.

9. Jhaina Stephens (185-F) of Royals - 13 points and 9 rebounds
10. Lauren Richter (188-F) of Titans - 10 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists
