Ugonne Onyiah (190-F) put on an amazing game in the last round for Alameda Wolves and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2.
The forward had a double-double of 23 points and 15 rebounds, while her team crushed, the league's bottom-ranked team Riptide (#7, 0-2) with 18-point margin 90-72. Wolves is placed at 3rd position in WPBA. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Wolves won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. Onyiah just recently signed at Wolves and just after two games she already turned to be a very valuable addition to the team. University of California graduate has very impressive stats this year. Onyiah is in league's top in points (9th best: 18.0ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 13.5rpg) and averages solid 1.5bpg and 59.3% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Mali forward Salimatou Kourouma (180-F-1999) of second-ranked Berkeley Royals. Kourouma impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 35 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Royals lost that game 97-107 to Swish (1-1). Her team has extremely good start of the season. They won both games so far. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Kourouma is one of the most experienced players at Royals and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 35.0ppg (#1). She also registered 10.0 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Kaylin Randhawa (188-G) of Bay City Blaze (#4). Randhawa got into 30-points club by scoring 37 points in the last round. She went also for ten rebounds . She was a key player of Blaze, leading her team to a 86-56 easy win against Titans (#8, 0-2). Blaze needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 1 victory and 1 lost game. Randhawa has a great season in WPBA. After only 2 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 27.0ppg (3rd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Delia Moore (170-G) of Phoenix - 24 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists
5. Erica McCall (190-F/C-1995) of Phoenix - 16 points, 14 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Rokia Doumbia (175-G-1999) of Royals - 13 points, 15 rebounds and 7 assists
