An exciting game was played in Berkeley. Swish faced Royals. Guests from Oakland defeated host Royals 107-97. The best player for the winners was guard Jada Lewis (175, college: SDSU) who scored 26 points. Alexsis Guidrybrown chipped in 16 points and 11 rebounds. Mali forward Salimatou Kourouma (180-1999, college: Oregon) produced a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds for the hosts. Swish is looking forward to face Wolves in Alameda in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Royals will play against Phoenix and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game with biggest result difference took place in . Local Phoenix outscored Reign 109-52. Guard Delia Moore (170, college: CS East Bay) orchestrated the victory by scoring 24 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Madison Michelis contributed with 22 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Mo Bennett (177-1990, college: Georgia Tech) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds for Reign.
