Power forward Erica McCall (190-F/C-1995) had an amazing evening in the last round for top-ranked Bay Area Phoenix, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 1.
The 29-year old player had a double-double of 36 points and 15 rebounds, while her team beat Titans (#8, 0-2), the league's bottom-ranked team 73-68. It allowed Phoenix to consolidate first place in the WPBA. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Phoenix won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game McCall had a remarkable 70.6% from 2-point range. She turned to be Phoenix's top player in her first season with the team. Former Stanford University star has very solid stats this year. McCall is in league's top in points (4th best: 26.0ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 14.5rpg) and averages impressive 3.0bpg,2.5spg and 67.9% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was Andriana Avent (183-G) of Oakland Swish. Avent had a very good evening with 32 points and 5 rebounds. Of course she led Swish to another comfortable win outscoring Riptide (0-2) 104-71. The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Avent is one of the most experienced players at Swish and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 25.5ppg (#5). She also registered 5.0 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was Jamaican guard Crystal Primm (180-G-1997) of Hayward Reign (#6). Primm scored 28 points and grabbed 19 rebounds (!!!). Despite Primm's great performance the Reign lost 76-87 to Royals (#2, 2-0). But her team cannot count on just a single shooter as she also needs help of the other teammates. The season just started for Primm as she played only first game. But it already looks like she can be team's leader.

4. Zhane Duckett (168-PG) of Titans - 23 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists

The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
