Canadian-American Ameela Li (168-G-1997) had a great game in the last round for league's leader Bay City Blaze and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 26-year old guard had the game-high 36 points adding three rebounds and three assists for Blaze in her team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team Riptide (#8, 0-4) with 58-point margin 101-43. It allowed Blaze to consolidate first place in the WPBA. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Blaze already had a very good start winning all 4 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Li had a remarkable 84.6% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. She has many years of experience at Blaze, through which she has constantly improved. University of Pacific graduate has very impressive stats this year. Li is in league's top in points (2nd best: 25.5ppg), assists (9th best: 3.5apg) and averages solid 4.0spg,55.1% FGP and 42.1% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young swingman Iimar'I Thomas (178-G/F-2000) of Alameda Wolves. Thomas impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 28 points and 11 rebounds. Of course she led Wolves to another comfortable win outscoring Reign (#7, 0-4) 84-50. Wolves' 4th position in the standings has not changed. Her team's 3-1 record is not bad at all. Thomas is one of the most experienced players at Wolves and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 32.8ppg (#1). She also registered 9.8 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Alexsis Brown (170-G) of Oakland Swish (#6). Brown showcased her all-around game by recording 27 points, 15 rebounds (!!!) and 7 assists in the last round. Despite Brown's great performance the Swish lost 64-82 to the higher-ranked Titans (#3, 3-1). But her team cannot count on just a single shooter as she also needs help of the other teammates. Swish can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-3 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Brown has individually a great season in WPBA. After only 4 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 22.3ppg (3rd best), rebounds with 11.5rpg (5th best) and assists with 4.5apg (6th best).
